I like this product for the most part. I gave it a 4 star because the part that you’re suppose to whack the pit with and pull out, the points are relatively small and I almost always have trouble getting the pit out. I tend to buy larger avocados and this product seems to work for smaller ones. Overall, it’s held up well and I still use it today. The ‘blade’ area to cut the avocado in half isn’t sharp enough to cut your finger but sharp enough to cut through the avocado skin. The other area of this knife helps slice and scoop out the avocado. It works good and I pack this in my lunch if Ibring an avocado versus a knife. At home though, I just use a knife and spoon. ... show more

    • Can't Handle the Pit
This is a cute little gizmo, however the two prongs that theoretically remove the pit are useless. They are not sharp enough to grasp the pit and I wound up using the old knife trick. The "scooper" part is good.

I have one at our home and had to buy another one for our house at the lake since I nearly stab myself when I use any other knife when cutting an avacado. It is safe and so easy to scoop out and slice!

I have been using this for YEARS and it's still the best gadget in my kitchen. I eat a lot of avocados and using a regular knife & fork to make guac just doesn't compare. I just bought a few for xmas gifts. Totally worth the buy!
