Fixed charging issue on an 05 Chrysler Sebring V6. Install was pretty daunting and took me about half a Saturday. That being said this is the first alternator that I have ever replaced. Take your time and you can get the job done (there's also a lot of YouTube videos covering the subject).

This was installed a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. I'm not a mechanic but anybody with some tools can install this without any difficulty, just ensure that the belt is tight once installed. It provides fewer amps than the OEM alternator (85 vs 90) but I had no problems with that. It certainly stood out from the rest of the aging engine bay given its newer coat of paint. Unfortunately, my alternator was missing the brown piece that surrounds the B+ terminal and within my inexperience I didn't realize. After hooking it up, the following happened: my battery died, a pair of jumper cables were fried, my battery exploded, several fuses were blown, and the alternator itself failed. It was an expensive mistake. I eventually received an identical replacement that included the brown piece and I have had no problems with it. ... show more
