I bought initially one of these panels and then ordered two more. I installed them outdoors as a part of my house electrical system upgrade and I am happy with it so far. What I liked - it is well designed. Everything is well though through, it has multiple mounting options. - it is well made as well, the quality is very good. It looks exactly like in the ad pictures. Good enough to put even in the locations where it could be highly visible. - delivery and packaging was good as well But it is not perfect for every situation - it is not as heavy duty as typical electrical boxes and panels. In my case it was not needed, but it requires more careful preparation and handling during installation. You will need to build a frame for it to provide it required structural support. But the reward is its refined look that electrical accessories are missing sometimes. - the paint looks thinner comparable to standard electrical boxes as well, like Siemens for example. But I was planning to repaint it, so this was not an issue in my case. The only situation when I would not recommend this access panel is when you expect that it could be abused mechanically and exposed to aggressive media. Then I would look for something industrial-heavy duty. But then again it would not look as nice as this panel.

I use this for access (from below) to plumbing for our shower. I previously had a wood door, then a plastic access panel (which cracked with repeated opening and closing). This metal access door is perfect - strong and easy to use with its key. I won't need to replace this one.

I would highly recommend these access panels. I bought these for a commercial/ industrial interior project and they are far more economical than the ones generally purchased from commercial supply houses. The quality is better and come with a nice quality paint finish.

The cover was simple to install, I measured the opening, added a 1/8 inch, put the measurements on the wall next to a stud, and cut out with my multi tool which cuts clean and accurate. I added plywood strips to the backside of the sheetrock to strengthen. It feels sturdy and should hold up for years. I feel that I made the right choice over the plastic inserts. I would buy another one if I need another access point for plumbing.
