This watch is comfortable, and pretty well made. It's worth the money; the only thing I changed was to replace the canvas strap with a Shinola leather strap (I prefer leather straps for every day use). It looks good, I've even worn it to church. The NH35 is fairly accurate; I threw it on the timegrapher (auto beat detection, 60s test period, 53º lift angle, 20 minutes of testing), and depending on the angle it ran a little fast by between 2-6s. First off I wanted a watch with no branding or text (besides the aribic nimbers). I wanted a basic automatic with now date or day window. I also wanted something with a common movement. This checked all the boxes. I like the look utilitarian of it. Thee numbers are slighly raised on the dial giving it a little dimension. Buyer beware though, I ordered what I thought was the A-11 Tom Rice based on the "42mm Tom Rice" that I clicked. I received the 42mm A-11 Service Watch. After a little research, the only difference I found is that the Tom Rice now has sapphire glass and "the lost watch of D-day" engraving which inflates the cost $100 more while the Service watch has K1 glass according to the website. I think they changed the model line up recently, as in changed the A-11 Tom Rice model to sapphire and renamed the old Tom Rice model the now A-11 Service Watch. That being said, I was expecting K1 glass so I'm not upset, because I based my decision of reviews from a couple years ago. Mine also doesn't have the Tom Rice engraving on the back, it just says Type A-11. Besides, I wouldn't be willing to spend an extra $100 just for sapphire, since I'm not hard on my watches anyways. ... show more

Great watch. Seems to keep descent time. Has lost 2 seconds in 24 hours. Fits my 8 1/4 wrist great. Like the story behind it as an advertising gimmick, but it’s really just a gimmick in the end. I think would be better if was geared towards all the WWII vets. But I like it just the same. The biggest reason I chose this over others. I like the looks. Clean and basic. I found other brands to have more cluttered dials. Bulova a bit small for my large wrist. Hamilton is harder to adjust, you have to send it in and I like to tinker with my watches. Islander is great but dial is too busy for my. I did consider the timex with the seagul manual wind movement. All in all I think this is best representation and I just like it. The design is sophisticatedly simple, and the movement is incredibly smooth and keeps time well. I originally got it to have a watch at the gym or during outdoor activities (I never was a smart watch person), but it fits in anywhere. Great quality for the price.

Excellent watch. Only complaint was the band was ugly and imo sucked all around. That asides First centipical watch ive owned and it hasnt dissapointed. First wind i didnt wind ut enough(20-30 seemed like a lot) and it died on me but after that i wound it till it stopped now has kept perfect time. Im not even sure its lost a full second yet to the digital i set it by. Action on it is very smooth and super quiet. Would recommend solid buy for the price point. ... show more

This is the One watch that does it all for me: tool watch for work, daily beater, dress watch if wanted. It didn't look that impressive when I first put it on, a "small" 42 mm with the bezel and crystal drawing the eye inward. Yet ... I put on the next day, and the next and soon found myself making excuses to wear it. The proportions are about as perfect as they get on a $250 watch. My only complaint is that the movement was poorly regulated prior to shipping. The watch looses about 30 seconds per day. That's on the company for not adjusting at assembly. ... show more

I purchased the watch for its simplicity and classic looks and that it is self winding. I read reviews on how it looses time but I figured it was okay for how I was going to wear it. I wore it during the week and took it off for the weekends. On Monday it had stopped. Weird. I have had self winding watches before and never had one stop that quickly. After another stoppage I decided to send it back. It would just stop working if not worn for two days. I had just passed the Amazon 30 day policy so I contacted Praesidus Watches on February 4th and sent it for repair. It is now June 2nd and still no watch. I have been in contact with their support personnel and was told it would take 4-7 weeks for repair. It is definitely longer than two months now. This is unacceptable. I would avoid purchasing from Praesidus, while they respond to emails, there are no results. They may offer a warranty it does not do the customer any good if they don't follow through. It is now August 2025. I sent the watch in for repair in February. I still haven’t received my watch back. I WOULD NEVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. ... show more
