  • Works great with Peloton
After having quite a bit of trouble with the HRM included with the Peloton, I got this armband and have had zero issues. It stays connected to the bike for the entirety of the ride (biggest need), the numbers are really accurate, and I haven't even needed to charge it after quite a bit of use. If you are looking for a replacement for the Peloton HRM, I would highly recommend this device...especially at such a good price comparatively. ... show more

  • Great for Peloton users
I truly love my Peloton, but the HR monitor they provide is horrible. This HR monitor is super easy to set up, just complete initial charge, push button and connect to Peloton. Every future workout, as soon as you turn it on, it pairs automatically. Very consistent and accurate readings. I have worked out for two weeks with it without needing to charge it. Overall, fantastic product and worth the price. I’ve had it for 2 weeks, if anything changes with quality, I will update the review. ... show more

  • Works like a charm! Too bad the battery doesn't.
So far this is great! I don't think there is a good place to wear any sort of watch or monitor, really. I wear this on my forearm and hardly know it's even there (though I do have a weird tan line now). Also, through all the bumps in the roads, and moving around, this picks up an accurate heart rate. So far battery life is awesome - I'll update if I run into anything different from what I've left here so far. Update 4-9-21: Unfortunately, the battery life suddenly went to about two hours before it needs a charge, sometimes not even that long. When my rides often last longer than that. It is now pretty useless to me. ... show more

  • Excellent armband HRM. A definite buy if price discounted against Wahoo, Polar, etc.
In my initial use of the Powr Labs Armband Heart Rate Monitor it seems to be an excellent workout HRM. I can't see how similar units from Wahoo and Polar could be any better. It paired easily with my smartphone fitness tracker. Considering that the basic technology involved is available in countless "fitness watches" selling for half or less it seems the main thing you're paying for when you buy this type of dedicated bluetooth heart rate sensor is the ability to pair with various smartphone apps and exercise equipment. The only "complaints" I have are really just observations. For one, the dedicated charging cradle has a very short cable, only about a foot or so. Two to three feet would have been more practical. And despite all the blah blah blah in Powr's promos about "Born in the mountains of Park City Utah" the device is obviously made in China and the instructions are written in that distinctively awkward English that indicates that whomever wrote them was not a native English speaker. The alerts section in particular leaves a user puzzled as to what they are intending to say about the alerts occurring or what they mean. The Powr website is pretty bare bones and doesn't look like lot of time was spent on the project. All that said the device works well, is easy to setup and is comfortable to wear. If you can find it on offer price discounted to Wahoo and Polar it's a good buy. ... show more

  • Very Easy to Setup and Use - Works Great with Polar Beat App
My son bought me a Fitbit Versa 3 as a gift, but it was just too complicated for me and I did not like the amount of personal information needed by the application. Too be fair it does a lot more than just monitor your heart rate which is all I really wanted. I have previously owned a chest type HRM which was very accurate but not very convenient to use and uncomfortable to wear IMO and sweat ended up wrecking the band. So after reading some reviews and watching a few You Tube videos I decided on the Powr Labs Armband HRM. It comes well packaged and was very easy to setup and the included instruction are decent. After a quick charge and installing one of the two bands provided, it was pretty much ready to go. The bands are not stretchy/rubbery material which I thought would cause it to move around on my arm. But the material is soft and has some grab so it stayed put on my forearm but without grabbing the hair on my arm or pinching and was overall very comfortable to wear. It appears very accurate too. I have used a stair machine for many years and pretty much know when I am in my target range and the Powr Labs band appears spot on. Since I am just using it for cardio when on my Stairmaster 4200 or for weight training, I do not have a manufacture's provided app to use. One YT review mentioned the Polar Beat app so I went that route. It was super easy to setup and only requires your email, weight and age to use for calculating your target heart rate zone - which was nice. I attempted to make a Bluetooth connection between my phone and the device but it failed. However, when I went into the Polar Beat application menu and used the connect option the Powr Lab was recognized and the connection made. I am not 100% sure but I believe it makes an ANT connection with the app via Bluetooth but does not require a straight Bluetooth connection. That was not in the instruction so just something to be aware of. I was also able to run Spotify using a Bluetooth connection to my garage stereo and there was no conflict with the device. While this is not a review of the Polar Beat app, I have to say it has a real nice simple interface that reports additional data like calories, distance, etc., in addition to your heart rate and shows a very easy to see dynamic graph of where you are in your target heart rate zone while you are working out. And you can send or share a report of your results after your workout if you want to keep a log. Thought that was worth a mention in case you are using the arm band the same way. Overall I am very pleased with the Powr Labs armband heart monitor. If you are looking for an accurate, easy to use and comfortable to wear HRM, you can't go wrong with this device. ... show more

  • Great product, would recommend to Nordictrack X32i users
This product is great. I use it when I run on my Nordictrack X32i (about 20 to 30 miles per week). It pairs a few seconds after my run starts, so a small delay but it works. I hate chest straps so this is absolutely perfect. It is not advertised to work with Nordictrack products but it does, at least the X32i. It has the exact same reading as my Galaxy Watch 3 so I assume it's pretty accurate. I love the charger and the fact that it's rechargeable. It's listed to last 60 hours but I'll be charging it once a week after about 20 to 30 hours of use. All in all, great product and I'll recommend it to anyone looking for a good heart rate monitor with equipment it will work with. ... show more
