Have used it over the course of a few days while on a vacation. I unfortunately have an IID interlock device on my vehicle for the next several months and it has once killed the battery over a period of just 2 days of non-use. This trickle maintainer seems to have kept that from happening on a 4 day span plugging it into my cigarette lighter. Truck started up without issue. There is a charge indicator light that illuminates green when getting solid sunlight , yellow for partial, and will go dark if not receiving light. It helps create peace of mind on not needing to purchase another battery in the dead of winter or need to pay a “reset” fee on the interlock. Pretty cheap, and simple to use. Happy purchase.

So far so good. Using this on a motorcycle. I cut the cigarette lighter adaptor off and just used the pigtail with plug. Hard wired the pigtail to the battery, ran the wire along the frame and left only the plug exposed in an inconspicuous place just under the tank. The plug matches the one on the charger. The "Hot" side of the plug on the bike is the one that's insulated. No chance of shorting out. This way I never have to fool with the battery box or cover. Face it, if you make it easy to use, you'll use it.

15W charger working just as advertised. Well made, sturdy, simple setup. I drive very little, so battery tends to drain over time. Have it mounted on the deck behind the back seat secured with 3M VHB sticky pads, plugged into cigarette lighter socket in the center console. On my car the cigarette lighter socket is always on so this works great, but on some cars it turns off with the ignition, so verify before using this setup. LED indicates it's charging the battery even in cloudy weather. I contacted support about leaving it connected while driving and they responded quickly confirming that would not cause any problems with the charger or the battery. So far so good. I'll update with any changes.

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger pick-up truck that sits in our driveway. I use it for projects around the house - hauling brush, building supplies, garden supplies, etc. so it often sits for weeks without being started. Often, in the winter, we have temperatures around 0° F or lower (I live in Minnesota). Since the battery sits without use it slowly discharges and requires a jump to start on cold days. I can jump start it but I would prefer not to do so on a below zero day. I decided to try the solar trickle charger to see if it would solve my problem. We just had a stretch of cold weather. This morning it was -13° F and warmed up to -5° F. so I decided to test the battery by starting the truck. It didn't start right up but the battery kept spinning the engine until it started. I am impressed! Things I like about the charger: 1) It works; 2) I had considered an electric trickle charger but that would have to be plugged in and use electricity. The solar panel sits in the front window of the truck and is continually charging the battery as long as there is sunshine. I just unplug it when I use the truck; 3) I have the charger inside the truck attached to the front window with the suction cups that come with the unit and it charges without any problems. I don't have to put it on the outside of the truck; and 4) it is an ingenious solution to my problem. I am pleased with my purchase!

I've used this on 2 different Corvettes via the 12V outlet in the center of the car, a C5 and C6. The C5 seemed to stay charged decently well off of it during summer and fall. The C6 I started using wintertime, and the shorter days + clouds (Southern California) means it's not quite as viable during the winter, especially if you live up north. I measured the voltages/state of charge on my AGM battery on the C6, and the battery would have dropped to zero after a couple weeks with this attached in the cloudy, shorter days. It would probably be fine even in winter to top off a disconnected battery, but if you have a relatively high parasitic draw in your car and don't disconnect the battery, I would be careful using this in winter. Still, it is more convenient than popping the hood to hook up a battery tender in the summertime when there's no rain and the days are longer.

I've got it in the window of my second vehicle. The indicators for power and charging work fine though it never lit up to indicate fully charged—so after a few days I checked the value of the battery and it was over 12 v. And whenever I check, the battery seems to be good. The unit is probably it is working, but is not indicating its own success.
