Great little T-slot rails! Not too expensive, but work great! I'm using these on a reloading bench for mounting presses and other tools. They make it easy to remove tools, or rearranging my setup. Quick tip! Get some 1/4-20 bolts and grind off opposing sides, allowing them to slip into the t-slot from the top and not the end. 5 star across the board. BUT what size screw to use? The answer seems to be #6. #8 flathead from product description doesn’t quite sit below the track. The bolt head catches on it a bit. Needs to be juggled to get the bolt head over the screw head. #6 oval head worked, but also caused the bolt head to catch momentarily in the track. #6 flat head works for smooth operation, but it seems to sit low in the counter sink. No apparent problem, but I would be concerned if I were creating a hold down jig that might be subject to stress. By the way, once you drill for #8 you can’t switch to #6 without filling and redrilling (or turning the base over). ... show more

Great for a starter workbench. For my needs they are awesome, makes clamping wood for various tasks on the workbench so much easier. I combined these with the POWERTEC 71168 5-1/2" L x 1-1/8" W Hold-Down Clamp, 2PK , POWERTEC 71121 16 Piece 5/16" T-Bolt Kit , POWERTEC 71068 T-Track Knobs with 1/4-20 by 1-1/2" Bolts and Washers(Set of 10) , I also added these, ( Hard-to-Find Fastener 014973243807 Full Thread Hex Tap Bolts, 1/4-20 x 1, Piece-100, Hillman 150003 Coarse Thread Hex Nuts, 1/4 X 20-Inch, 100-Pack, Stainless Steel Flat Washers 1/4" Screw Size,0.63" OD, 0.06" Thick (Pack of 100) ) and just filed the letters off the heads, they work great in the tracks, I got some extruded aluminum flat bars, 1/2 " by 1" x 12" from stoner metals on amazon, to use both on the tracks to hold wood while sanding, planing, and for use as spacers etc. The bolts are perfect for working with 3/4" stock, I just used a Dremel to trim the extra length down will attach some high density foam stripping to grip the wood. The kits work great, but the knobs are to high when planing. so the bolts are used when low profile is needed. Next will be adding rails to the long side of the workbench to use for a router sled. This t-track system will work well for holding pieces to route with the sled. First pic is holding down the saw guide over the bar in the second pic, which shows an 8ft bar with the bolts being used, makes a nice known straight edge that won't budge, makes squaring off 30 ish raw milled cedar boards easy. Yeah don't have a table saw, or room for one. So this works. ... show more

I'm installing rails throughout my shop. I had tried powertec before, and found no problems. I then tried two other brands amazon sells and was disappointed in them. I now wish I had not ordered and installed the other brands. The "T" bolts just will not slide easy in them. I really might take them back up and go with Powertec when I have the time and money. That would also look better then the black and silver rails. The blue really looks good embedded in my work bench, drill press, bandsaw and table saw sled. ... show more

Found everything I needed on Amazon to upgrade my father's 1965 Craftsman drill press. Dad's setup was well worn, so a few ideas from the internet and items from Amazon... I'm back in business. T-tracks were easy to cut on my miter saw, but a hacksaw will do the job. Hold-downs and basic fence knobs found on Amazon. Just make it! ... show more

My son and I are working on a raised walkway project that needs tapered 5/4 treated decking to turn a curve in the walkway. The Powertec T-Track and clamps were a perfect solution. I actually found these by luck as I was not really familiar with T-Track products. We built a simple tapering jig using the Powertec kit to hold down our 5/4 material onto a 1x8 which we ran across a table saw. The two hold down clamps absolutely held the wood in place. The dimensions listed are spot on. I used a 3/4im bit to rout the recess. Fit was so snug I hardly felt it needed screws. Looks great, works great. I will note that not all countersink screws have a shallow enough head to seat well in the holes without catching. Tried more than one brand to find the right fit. ... show more

Exactly what you'd expect - two T tracks with predrilled and countersunk holes for screwing onto your project. Tracks are straight and true. Used it to make a sliding fence for a router top. Cut a dado for each track just barely wide enough to fit the track in, screwed it in with #8, 1/2" screws and that was that. Fence slides easy enough with two hex bolts with star washers on top, and the fence stays parallel and tight. Since the holes are predrilled you don't get a choice on where they wind up - just be aware. ... show more
