My ferrets LOVE this hose! It's long enough to tie into two knots for them to run through and it's tough enough material that they can't destroy it while supervised. They love to chase eachother through it at full speed backwards and forwards. Some of my ferrets can turn around in the tunnel but large or fat ones can't. Because it's almost clear, you can see if there are toys stashed in it or squabbles are happening or if one goes to sleep in it. Super easy to slide ferrets out without hurting them because they hose is so flexible. NOTE: you will definitely want to stretch it out and let it sit out for about a week before you try it with ferrets. It comes with a strong smell, but it goes away with time. ... show more

I am very pleased with the quality of this. It does have a strong smell when you first take it out of the box, I opened mine up and removed the plastic and stretched it out in the sun for a few hours and most of the smell is gone. I need more, I used all 20 feet and need about that much again. Great product, will buy again. I have since ordered a second 20 feet, works great in my shop dust collection. Purchased this tubing to make final connections to my woodworking tools connected to my Jet collector. This works as expected. Has been installed for a few years now and there is no noticeable yellowing to the vinyl. The tubing was easily cut to length with wire cutters and a utility knife. It remains flexible when colder in my shop. The pipe straps I use to connect it to the gates fit fine and hold the tubes securely. I would not hesitate to purchase more of this tubing if needed. ... show more

Looked at a couple of different hoses and settled on this. Really like it and will buy it again when I need more hose.. Really tough (as witnessed by me shutting the garage door on it). So far has fit every connection I've thrown at it very well. Just make sure you get enough length. I bought 2x qty thinking I would mainly need one and would cut the other down for dedicated machine connections. It will tighten up a bit when the vac is turned on (I'm running a 2 horse, 1700 CFM vac.). Hard to say how much but much better than the "collapsing" hoses which shrink down to a storable length since no matter how much you stretch, them, you are always fighting them (at least in my experience). Btw, someone asked whether this hose needs left or right hand bridge connectors. I don't know and always use straight clamps but I've posted a picture of the hose on a fitting (the twists go up and to the left). ... show more

    • Just buy this first and save yourself the headache of the cheaper generic hoses.

This is a pretty big jump up in quality than the less expensive generic hoses out there. The wire support is heavier, plastic thicker and clearer and most importantly it's the right size. Trying to fit some of the generic hose will find you struggling to make connection as I imagine saving a mm of inside diameter is a big manufacturing cost savings when you sell miles of it. Don't be like me, buy this first and save yourself the headache. One more thing, this stays reasonably flexible even when temperatures drop. ... show more

I used this hose to extend my collection system and it's ideal. Doesn't kink , has a strong plastic wire and good thick vinyl that can stand up to heavy use. I used quick clamps for any clogs and so far so good. Powertec again outdid themselves

I have a Rikon dust collection system in my shop. The 4" hose that came with my dust collector is far inferior to this hose. In fact, where possible, I've removed the Rikon hose and put this in its place. This is a decent quality hose of proper thickness. The Rikon hose has a metal coil around it and I think it got damaged in packaging. This hose has a nylon or some kind of plastic coil that is strong and crush resistant. There may be metal in it - I can't recall. It is much more durable though. ... show more

I originally got dust collection hose from Grizzly to go with a collector I ordered from them. It was nearly impossible to keep it stretched out and the material didn't seem very robust. This is much better than that. It doesn't fight me when I try and pull it to a different machine and the material is much more flexible, which hopefully means it will be more long-lasting. ... show more
