I just got this tonight, put it together (the manual is ok except the pictures are completely worthless) and ran it through its first job on some tough ice that slid off my roof. So far so good, it started up on the second pull, runs great, idles great, has plenty of power to throw snow and ice. For the money it seems to be worth it. The downside is all the knobs and handles are flimsy feeling plastic.....not sure if they will hold up to below 0 winters here in MN. My old ariens st824 lasted almost 25 years before it gave up the good fight.....this one has a lot to live up to. Update 3-11-19 After a few more wet heavy snowfalls....I can say this thing is able to power through some really heavy snow. I also cleared out a part of my backyard that had 2 week old/18in tall snow and it powered right through it. Actually I'm very impressed with this machine so far. Update 2/13/2020 After using this for about a year now, couple of small issues. 1st, one of the plastic parts (the housing for the gear to turn the snow chute) has cracked. Not the end of the world but annoying. One other thing I wish this did, I wish you could aim the chute down another click or two...this thing throws the snow very well/far and sometimes it goes too far (neighbors property or some other tight spaces). Keeping this at 5 stars because it chows through snow/ice, starts on pull number 1 or 2 and runs great but the cheap plastic parts are definitely a cause for concern and should be a bit heavier duty. ... show more

... this is listed as having electric start, which it does not. Took 4 hrs to easily assemble, but I imagine it was mostly due to my assembly being done in a 4x4, dimly lit space in a packed 9 degree garage. Shipping was faster than I was informed and was a day later than tracking said it was going to arrive. All in all, 9 days from IL to WI. I havent used it yet other than a test run to circulate oil, my anti-manual labor boyfriend cleared half the driveway and said it was a beast while smiling but stopped because the tire came loose and I'm the handy one. Upon reviewing the situation I found what you see in my pictures. Aparently there was no bolt securing the tires together. I dont know what to do. The manual doesn't list the size of the missing bolt. Now I have to take the tires into menards and find one. Sooo... not happy! I've calmed down, the replacement bolt turned out to be 5/16, 3/4". Be sure to get a large washer. My neighbor asked me for the link to order one herself. We are both custodians at a university so we are discerning shoppers from state purchased equipment. I've even shared the ink with my boss as they've been looking for a 2 stage for 12 campus buildings. Sadly they cant purchase as amazon isnt an approved supplier. This is a beast of a piece of equipment. Chains would help with tire slippage, but I'm impressed enough to give this 5* even though I'd prefer to do 4 due to the bolt. Before purchasing I shopped around. This model equivalent was $699@menards and $999@my local lawn and snow equipment retailer. This is the best buy on the market. ... show more

My experience has been the worst.. a lot of manufacturer assembly issues, first run the left wheel fell off and the machine stopped moving .. after investigating it turned out that the screws were not tightened well and fell on the ground from the first run.. I fixed it myself after spending 1 hour searching for the missing screw in the snow! Second run, top right handle screw fell on the floor and I lost the ability to move the machine in the middle of the now, spent an hour outside in the cold and fixed it. Third run everything seemed to be running smoothly and I thought I was happy to find out later that there is light oil leak, oil case screws needs to be tightened as well! Wish that I can return it and get my money back.. I guess too late now ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This slow blower is impressive!! Let me start with assembly. Upon opening box I wasn’t looking forward to putting this together. However it turned out to be pretty simple ! Directions were easy to understand and were well written. I only had to put on wheels which are easy and really great quality and fully inflated ready to go. Then I attached the ski shoes to the base . They are changeable/ moveable depending on the surface I will be snow plowing so that I’m not scraping the ground. I really liked that feature. Then I just had to attach the snow shooter. All easy with plyers ! That’s a must have tool for this. The battery came fully charged however I set up the charger and put it on it anyways to make sure and to be ready for the next store storm. Once all lights were green I removed and put into the snowblower. It does have a convenient safety key to insert in the battery area . Without this it will not start! This beast of a snowblower can clear 24” in width with its metal spinners and 20 “ in depth. One of my favorite feature is the lights they are bright !!. I can clear my driveway early in the morning before sun comes up or late at night to be prepared and ready for work! Once I turned it on I was excited as it self propelled through the snow like a champ. I won’t complain next time it snows it was so much fun just walking behind this plow getting the job done and fast! I like that I can rotate the chute with the remote on the handle 180 degrees to throw the snow out of my way! Never owned a snow blower like this but my back could not handle the shoveling this year so it was a must! It provides nice clean plowing even lines and it can shoot the snow far! The battery lasted my through my whole 10 foot driveway before needing a hood recharge. But it charged up fast and I was back out their doing my mailbox and sidewalks in no time ! No complaints on the way this machine worked for me I love it!!! I don’t have to shovel or hire a plow man ever again . It’s money well spent!! ... show more
