Great little generator. Powers our mini fridge in our farmstand all day while on eco mode and doesn’t run out of fuel. About 12 hours of run time on a full tank (1gallon non ethanol gas). It’s also very quiet and can you barely hear it 20 feet away which is nice for the farmstand vibe.

    • Primitive 10 day camping trip review

I rarely leave product reviews however I always read reviews before making an expensive purchase. I took the family on a 10-day camping trip at a very popular state park where generators are not allowed during quiet hours at 10 pm. This generator was quiet enough so it would not be noticeable unless you were standing under 75 feet from our campsite. When I first got the generator I gassed it up with super unleaded and premium oil and ran it for 10 hours to break it in. The generator started on the first pull and all was well. I changed the oil and went on the trip. After the first few days of running the generator for 15 hours a day, I ran out of gas in my can. The generator would run around 10 hours on economy mode only running 6 fans and some cell phone charging stations. Well, I went to refill my gas can and because where we were I bought regular unleaded because the price for super unleaded was super high. This was my demise. That night the generator would run an hour and shut off, then another two hours and shut off. I was super frustrated and ready for my money back. The next day I thought maybe I should try to change the oil again. It didn't help the same problem with shutting off after an hour or two. On the 5th day of my trip, I figured why not drain the gas and go back to super unleaded. Well, surprise surprise, the little sucker is bougee and only wants high octane fuel. I never had a problem for the reminding 5 days. Ran like a champ. I have now almost 200 hours running it. So, with good high octane gas and changing the oil often this is an awesome buy. ... show more

    • Nice Compact Generator

I received this generator a few weeks ago and have not needed it with a power outage. That said I did get it out of the box and fired it up. First Note it doesn't come with oil in the motor so have a quart of 10W30 ready to fill the crankcase. The instructions don't say how much to use but to fill the case until the upper level of the dip stick it covered. I put gas in. Turned the red lever on the gas cap to Run - Pulled the Choke out. Turned the Switch to Run. A couple quick pulls and it started right up. I checked and it was putting out the proper voltage. A quick Squirt of STABIL to protect the gas as I don't know when I might need it. I then set the generator aside for future us. It seems good and I am happy. ... show more

Works well. Engine is quiet for low loads, but roars with heavy loads. I bought this for emergencies, to use maybe 3 to 4 times a year during power outages. Per manual, to store you have to drain the gas and the oil. This is not convenient. Have to turn generator upside down to drain gas from spout, then run engine until it runs out of gas. Have to tilt generator on its side to drain oil through dipstick hole. A better design should include taps to drain gas and oil. I used sta-bil to keep the gas leftover in the engine from getting sticky. I used synthetic oil which doesn't degrade much with time. ... show more

I have only ran it a few times, With a total of about 10 hours. So I can not speak to it's longevity, It was very easy to setup and start. It has always started on the first or second pull. Has a good layout and instructions. So why the bad reviews? If you read many of the negative reviews. People are using it as a generator. Not an inverter (which it is). They are putting way to big of a load on it. It was not made for heavy industrial construction. What it can do in the event of a power outage, Run your fridge, a small air conditioner *or many fans", a TV, your router so you can have the internet.... while charging your phones (or other devices). The sine is very good, So no worries about damages to your electronics. You can take it camping, outings, picnics. So far it is a decent litte INVERTER/generator! If you want to mix cement then buy a brute power GENERATOR! Who cares about sensitive electronics. ... show more

    • Uses lots of oil

This generator at first smoked and used oil but figured this would improve which it did once oil was changed was quiet very economical and at first power then started losing power and made a whistling sound but was a easy fix as the spark arrestor was clogged up. Then started smoking a lot more take in mind I changed oil regularly and used very good 10w-30 small engine oil then it started eating oil to the rate of almost 16 ounces to 1on of gas. Never shut off due to low oil but it started smoking horribly and got much worse on oil consumption and this was at 200 hours usage sure didn’t last long at all. Waste of money ! I did like the overload reset button elimates need to shut it off and reset it however figure the engine is junk still runs but smokes horribly however the spark plug is not oily or black but the engine oil get black instantly and I’ve flushed it out but never got better I bought a Pulsar same wattage generator even tho not as fuel efficient it doesn’t waste or burn oil run bad like this one. This one was also horrible on carbon fouling spark plugs so I’d definitely pass this one up if looking !!! ... show more

I bought all 3 of my kids and their families inverters so if power goes out can at least keep fridge and freezer going plus tv’s, few lamps , plus keep phones charged, this one went to my oldest son and his crowd. He must have sent me 3-4 txt on how impressed he was with it, runs so quiet, so fuel efficient, plus it’s so comforting to be able to keep basics going for few days during power outage ... show more
