  • Amazing value.
Style: 2500W
Amazing value. I've been using it for about a year now and its working great still! Starts reliably, light enough to be mobile, its quiet, doesn't require much fuel, and they also engineered it to make oil changes easy! I highly recommend, and will be buying another when I need it for another larger project! ... show more

  • PowerSmart 4800-Watt Portable Inverter Generator - 5 stars!
Style: 4800W-CO Protect
Great and durable generator. Thankfully it has wheels for easy mobility as it is heavy, but the wheels make it move with ease. Setup was easy and generator started on first pull. I connected several items to it to measure the output and it held up well. Great generator for the price and comparable to other more expensive well know brands. Very happy with the purchase thus far. ... show more

  • Super reliable and quiet. No complaints at all!
Style: 2500W
What a great little generator! Starts first pull every time, super quiet and packs a punch. Lightweight for easy transport, takes up very little space and very fuel efficient. Over 1500 hours now with no durability issues. You can't go wrong for the price! Highly recommend!

  • Best purchase!
Style: 2500W
10/10! I use this generator for my small business events to power my heat press, and it’s been amazing! I ran it for an 8-hour event this past weekend, and it lasted the entire time without a problem. It’s super easy to set up and use, and on eco mode, it’s impressively quiet — even with music and people talking around, you can barely tell it’s running! ... show more

  • Works pretty well, although below it's stated output
Style: 2500W
Everything worked OK. I filled the oil with 30w 4 cycle "break-in" oil.I filled the Gas to 1/4 full with 89 octal non-ethanol gas. After a few pulls to get the gas to the carburetor, I put the gas cap position to ON and the Selector to choke. Started up after a couple pulls, switched to Run. I ran the generator for 1 hour at 50 - 75% load, then I drained and refilled the oil. I did not see any metal debris in the oil that was drained. I connected the generator to my 3.6KV power bank. I set the charge rate on the power bank to 70%. Started the generator. It was charging at 1300 watts. I changed the charging rate to 80% and the generator was putting out 1500W. Then to 90% and the output went up to 1700W. I tried 100% charge rate on the Power Bank, but the generator kicked the load OFF. So, I guess I found the limit was 1700W continuous output. So, it's far below the 2500W, or even 2000W output. But, it will do the job for me. I am changing the oil to a 10W30 synthetic blend at the 10 hour mark. Then again at the 50 hour mark. Then every 100 hours after that. Might be a bit of overkill, but the oil isn't that expensive and fairly easy to change out. ... show more

  • The great value
Style: 2500W
I attempted to return the generator after it would not stay running. Customer service would not let me return it and they said that I could keep it. Because they cannot return something that is hazmat. Turns out it was a mistake on my part not turning the valve on the "on" position while running it. There's an on and off switch on top of the gas cap. It does say to do that in the instructions but I must have missed it. Great value and excellent design. On a machine like this. I check the oil often, there is a door on the bottom that you can remove quickly instead of removing the whole entire cover. I really like the manual choke, sometimes in extreme cold weather you need the choke to stay closed so it warms up faster. It's very quiet especially on the Eco mode. It's also pretty lightweight not as heavy as it's competitors. I use it for a electric heater at 700 Watts and an engine block heater at 900 watts. I've had this thing running on one gallon for about 8 hours with non-ethanol gasoline on non-eco mode. Like I said before the design of this generator is excellent. The overflow for the carburetor bowl is nicely put away and drains well. It's much cheaper than Honda and just as quiet. They both weigh about the same and it lasts almost as long. Even if this thing breaks in 5 years you can buy another one and this will be cheaper than 1 Honda. ... show more

  • Do Not Buy from Power Smart
Style: 4800W-CO Protect-Electric Start
I bought this generator after reviewing the ratings of other similar wattage machines. The ratings were favorable, but this has not been my experience with this unit or with the company. I used this generator for a one week camping trip with my travel trailer. I went through the proper break-in procedure, including the oil change. The generator worked fine during the trip, 12 hours run time, no issues... I came home and put the generator into storage, draining the carb and treating the fuel in the tank. Over the winter, the oil drain let loose, spilling half the oil contents into the bottom of the machine and onto my (climate controlled) basement floor. I contacted customer support and they directed me to the nearest service provider which they had a contract with. This was 35 miles away. I called this service place and they immediately informed me that they currently had a lawn mower there from this company which they had been waiting on parts for for over 5 months. Bad Omen. I didn't have a choice and dropped it off there. After 7 weeks, they had diagnosed the issue as a missing crush washer, and a misaligned oil filling tube. I told them the crush washer never existed on the unit when I got it (and did the oil change), but that seemed like an easy solution. They agreed, but said that the company did not have a crush washer to send for this unit and that the misaligned oil fill tube couldn't be fixed. They contacted the company and were told to give the the option of keeping the generator??? or receiving a refund. No brainer... I opted for the refund and the paper work was sent in by them. I was then contacted by Power Smart within 2 business days, which was fantastic, and told to send the original purchase receipt, which I did. I was then contacted by Power Smart telling me I would get a check sent to me... for 70% of the original price... So, for all my inconvenience with cleaning up an oil mess, driving out of my way, and then waiting, I'm rewarded with giving this company over $220.00 for my efforts! (this was the 30% difference which the company got to keep for selling me a defective generator unit). The contracted service center that I went to told me they have decided that working with this company is a true nightmare and will not be renewing their contract with Power Smart. No surprise there... So buyer beware. ... show more
