  • Great little generator!
Style: 1200W
Generator works just as stated. Will be perfect for my need. Easy to use as well as easy to set up right out of the box.

  • Nice little generator
I got this as to use for basic back up power for hurricanes and it does the job I need it to. For clarity my model is rated at 1200w peak and 1000w running, I’ve seen a couple versions of this on Amazon. I’ve been through a couple of extended power outages with it and it can power a tv, some fans, some led lamps and a mini fridge without fuss which is exactly what I was looking for. With that sort of load I was using a gallon of gas every four hours or so which is fine. Starting was easy and it runs without any issues. Noise is a bit high but that’s a small worry. Overall I’m happy with this little guy, it gives me enough creature comforts during some bad times and the small size is easy to deal with. Recommended! ... show more

  • Nice and small camping generator
We used this over a 4 day / 3-night tent camping trip. It was in the upper 30's low 40s in the morning and it was easy to start, few pulls and away you went. I found it easier to keep running on the first start by moving the choke lever back and forth. We ran a 50' length of LED lights and the generator did not even make a peep from the small load. We also used it to make coffee from a larger Kuerig machine. This was touch and go at first and when the generator was still cold the Keurig machine would temporarily shut off when it was trying to heat water. For this, I found I could move the choke cable back and forth to keep the generator from bogging down too much. Once it was fully warmed though we did not have the issue. I did try to plug in a power strip well charging a speaker and phone power pack but that did not work well. Everything acted as if it was being charged but after 30 minutes the phone power pack did not even go up 1%. I plugged it directly in and it charged much faster. This thing went through hardly any gas, so don't overpack that. I think at the end of the trip we went through maybe a gallon. We ran the lights most nights and the Kuerig machine in the morning amongst a couple of other things. So it was on and off a lot. It is a little on the noisy side. But so was my friend's generator in his RV and the neighbor's generators 100+ yards away...so yeah, generators can be loud. Pros: - Priced fairly well, you may find something just as nice for the same price or cheaper but good luck. - Easy on gas - Gets the job done for small-time tent camping - Small, this was easy to pack and move about the camp site Cons: - Noisy - Did not perform well with a power strip or charging - Only one outlet Overall, this was worth the money. We do plan on spending more and getting a Honda EU2200i or EU2200i Companion model. But keep in mind with that...sub $200 versus over $1200 and 1000 watts verses 2200 watts. If you do not have much planned for this generator it is a bargain that you will not regret. ... show more

  • Defective product...Zero customer service!
I purchased this generator with high hopes. I know that you get what you pay for but for me, $150 isn't chump change. I wasn't expecting Honda quality but I also wasn't expecting a fire hazard and absolutely no response from the seller. I followed all the instructions and ran the generator under no load for a proper break-in period. It started fine and seemed to be running well. It was a bit loud but not unreasonable. I plugged in a 5.5amp drill motor and ran it without putting any strain on the drill. The generator sped up noticeably and things seemed fine. However, within less than 5 minutes, I began to smell smoke and saw it rising from underneath the generator. I immediately shut it off and moved it to see what was burning. As you can hopefully see from the picture, the bark that was under it was charred and smoking. I let the generator cool down and moved it to a concrete floor. It started up, ran for under a minute, then died and hasn't started since. I contacted the seller via email and received an automated response that they would get back to me soon. Two weeks later(!), I followed up asking how long it took to get a response and they responded asking for product details and pictures which I promptly sent. I never heard back from them and all future emails I sent were kicked back saying I had exceeded my sending limit(???). I tried calling the number printed on the generator but it just rang and rang. Finally, I got through only to be sent directly to leaving a voice-mail, which I did and have still not received any response. Bottom line, this is a dangerous and defective product that has zero product support. They've designed things to string you along until your return window has passed. Avoid at all costs! ... show more

  • it's not super quiet as described
i do like the size, and it weighs in at almost 40 pounds too, that is a plus in my book. after going over the instructions with a fine tooth comb, and complete visual inspection. i find no way to add oil to the crankcase. it runs like a charm except for the fear that it is knocking like it is about to throw a rod after about 70 seconds of run time. if you are wanting something the neighbors 4 doors away can hear, this is perfect. but if you are trying to not let it be known you are running a generator this isn't a good fit. Upon further inspection by opening up the air filter panel to do as the instructions recommend and put oil on the filter...there was no filter there. it also only runs about 3 hours before running out of gas. and all i have hooked up is my laptop charger. or the small charger for my e-bike. so let's just say it's cute but not effective ... show more
