At 10:00 a.m. the day after the hurricane I put The oil in it, one quart put it right on the mark.. .put 3 and 1/2 gallons of gas in it, didn't fill it up but that's all I had, turn the fuel lever on and expected to pull it three or four times. The first pool wasn't a very strong one so I got a better pull the second time and it fired right up, purring ... Started plugging things in and I ran my small AC unit My small refrigerator and my computer without even putting a lug on the engine. .. when I use the coffee maker I heard it ever so slightly lug down barely. .. but I ran it eight continuous hours on 3 and 1/2 gallons, And I started off still had another hour and a half of fuel in it. ... I thought I would have to fill it up every 5 hours but this thing has really impressed me. Everything feels high quality except the red side panels which are plastic of course. But they don't matter. .. if you just run the basics I would highly recommend this generator. Kept me cool kept my drinks cool ran my computer and made coffee with ease ... show more

Took less than five minutes out of the box for me to add oil and gas and have power after going without for over a week after hurricane beryl hit lake Jackson tx. I now have a window unit ac running in my living room, lights, and my refrigerator is working for the first time in over a week. I can charge my phone! I even did a load of laundry! Having something like this is a game changer after the devastation of a hurricane. It has run non stop for two days now, and I highly recommend. It always starts on the first or second pull, and it is easy to pull start. It runs smoothly. I hear my neighbors generators cutting in and out, rough idling and stopping all together sometimes. I haven't had any of those problems the power is consistent and smooth. The only drawback to this unit is that it weighs 96 lb. It takes two people really to move it. I can push it around by myself, but it's not easy. ... show more

I’ve got to give it to this generator … it is amazing! I normally never leave reviews but felt inclined to share our experience. We live in Tampa and just went through back to back hurricanes. We’ve been without power almost 4 days now. Thankfully we’d loaded up on gas before the storm and this bad boy has been running nonstop, 3 days straight. We’ve been able to power up our fridge, portable A/C unit, TV, coffee maker. It’s like we never skipped a beat. We purchased the 3800 watt. Pretty affordable and definitely worth the investment. 10/10 would recommend! ... show more

Started the first pull! (did cut off rather quickly BUT that was because I had not opened the fuel valve!) Opened the fuel valve and purred like a kitten! Haven't had to use in an emergency yet but very confident it will meet my needs. This model does not have a wheel kit so I ordered a Sportsman GenWhKit 4000 from amazon and it worked great!
