I had a few Porter cable batteries that had ceased to charge after about five years. I sneezed to replace them since have many cordless Porter cable power tools. These replacements have more operating time and fit all my Porter cable cordless tools (20v). I found to be less expensive than the local big box store or local hardware stores. In addition, in some cases the items are not carried in those stores. They worked perfectly after an initial charge. The longer run time eliminated the need to keep switching batteries to complete my projects.

the battery's are good . the do work very good . i have many power tool that used this battery. grinder ,1/2 impact driver 3/8 impact driver , drills, flash lights will you get a ideal a lot of tools. that hold up . but now the bad . if your like me who keeps drooping my tool , the case of the barreys will not hold up, but i don't think any battery will hold up.

I have 2 of the Power Extra 6mah batteries. I bought them in March of 2020. I have since upgraded to mostly Milwaukee Fuel power tools, except for the sawzall and circular saw. These batteries do still work I do still use them from time to time. One of the batteries still holds a decent charge, the other runs dead pretty quick. Are they pouch cell, or tabless? No! They aren’t even 21700 cells. Still old school 18650’s, buuut, for what I paid vs how long I’ve used them, I’d say they are great value if you need Porter Cable batteries. I actually came back here because I’m thinking about buying 2 new ones for the Sawzall and circular saw I still use.

Both batteries charged and worked well from the beginning, however once they depleted only one battery charges. The other battery shows as faulty when put on the charger. I have used multiple chargers and it does not charge on any....The battery that does work, however, is awesome. Very long life at a high usage rate. -UPDATE- seller has replaced the faulty battery and VERY promptly! I have changed my review to 5 stars (seller did not ask me to) Highly recommend for good business practices, which is hard to find these days.

Worked fine at first, but the second time I attempted to charge the battery, it died and wouldn’t charge. Every time I tried to charge it, a flashing red light would come on the charger. I even tried different chargers. I’ve used Porter Cable tools for years, and these after market batteries never last as long as genuine PC batteries. Usually, I can get a year or two out of them. I’m done with them. This battery only lasted three weeks. Genuine oem batteries may cost 3 times more, but they are worth it. Plus they have a two year warranty.

These work great. Better than OEM? Absolutely not. I have four of these after i purchased my porter cable. Guess which ones went bad? These did. I purchased four more. Oem batteries are still working fine. Do I use porta cable drivers? No, no i don't. I use milwaukee. These batteries go onto my flashlights. THE BEST FLASHLIGHTS money can guy.

Love Porter Cable tools but not so much their batteries. Haven’t had the best experience with “compatible” batteries at lower cost but after three straight days of use with these I’m optimistic. Used all day, one battery in a sawzall cutting and cleaning giant bamboo (3-4” dia) and one battery in a circular saw to clean the rough sawzall cut, they both lasted all day! Wow. And at a third the price of the brand name. Will get back in month to say how they are holding up.
