This is the toughest line I have ever used. Pulls to where it can bend some hooks in the snags. It's easy on the rod guides and tip too! Great stuff!! Catches alot of fish.

This string is strong as hell and casts smoothe and far. Abrasion resistance is good for braided line. Diameter is super this for the rated lb. It hasn't faded in the Costa Rica sun yet.

some defects in powerpro, sometimes you get weird sections that isnt really trustable looks squished and melted. I heard only some batches might have issues but the qc of powerpro is questionable. But if you do get the good batches definitely one of the best braids

Use this line for trolling for walleye on Lake Erie for walleye. I switched from mono line to braided line because when a fish hits the braided line there is no stretch. Never lost a fish yet on braided. On mono we loose fish at a rate of 25 %, due to line stretching and not getting a hook set. I will never go back yo mono when trolling again. ... show more

With almost all tackle, you usally get what you pay for. The trick is to find good value for you money. Cheap out and you'll likely be crying in your beer when the day is done. "For me" PowerPro has proven to be well worth the money. Mostly I use it for 50 lbs plus applications. Often I'm on on Party Boats and having to deal with people that aren't paying attention and tangle lines. The PowerPro holds up and is not the weak link. Beware though, it doesn't give AT ALL, so, expect to pair it with an appropriate size Florocarbon "shock leader" when dealing with tuna and other fish that hit hard! ... show more

Love this braid. Used it for heavy vegetation. Also use it for musky fishing without any leaders. In the 6 years I've been using it I've never had a break. It's so tough it's even hard to cut with sharp cutting tools.
