About 2 years ago we had a power strike hit the house and it took out a bunch of electronics including our new Cricut. I never threw it out in hopes that I was just wrong and it would magically work some day. The other day I decided it was time to let it go but before I trashed it I decided to try a few troubleshooting ideas. As I was moving it to another room to try an outlet I know for sure works I noticed the power cord had a light on in that was not lighting up. So it finally dawned on me that maybe...just maybe it was the power cord that no longer work and the Cricut was fine. So I rushed to Amazon and found a replacement cord. It came the very next day, I plugged it in right away, and what do you know!?? The Cricut works!!! This little power cord saved me from losing money that I spent on my original Cricut and all the accessories including the cost of throwing a perfectly good item away and having to spend money on a new one. ... show more

By the time I got it out to use it the return window closed. The adapter to plug into the wall doesn’t attach to the cord. Totally useless. These two parts are both from the box. They don’t fit together.

Have owned my original machine for over 20 years. Thought it finally died and bought this as a last ditch effort to save it. Plugged it in and …. The machine fired right up! I appreciate that this adapter also works with later cricuts in case I do decide to replace with a newer model
