    • Excellent drone for the price, with sharp photos and video, and very easy to fly.
Set name: ATOM 2 (PTD 1 with ND CPL
I've owned several drones in the past, but the Potensic Atom 2 is clearly the best. The range of features is impressive for a drone in this price range. Photos and video are sharp and clear, and it is very easy to fly. The manual is 64 pages long, but Potensic also offers very good online tutorials that explain how to use all the features. The PTD 1 controller has a built-in screen, which I find very convenient, because many drones require you to use your smartphone as a video monitor. My only complaint is that the screen on the controller is very difficult to see in bright light. However, I found a shade I can attach to the controller, and it helps reduce the glare a LOT! ... show more

    • What you see is about what you get
Nice item but is pre loaded with the regular Potensic software. The Pro version cannot be put on this item. The signal range is also over hyped and is not as great, strong or reliable even with direct line of site. The unit does work well and is easy to use and link with the drone. It's nice not to have to use a phone for the video screen ... show more

    • No More Phones!
I love this! It is so much easier than dealing with a phone, connecting it to the remote, and then getting a phone call in mid-flight. The screen is quite bright, ideal for a sunny day. I will never own a drone again that uses phones now I have this.

    • My first drone and I absolutely love it!
Set name: ATOM 2 (PTD 1 with ND CPL
This is an awesome little drone. Easy to control and fly. The video quality is much nicer than I expected and was astonished at good it was. I do recommend watching videos to get to know the controls before you start your first flight as it will help tremendously. It will start you in beginner mode which is nice because it limits height. I purchased the fly more kit so the I have the nice video controller and do not need to use my phone which is an added plus! Also, the 3 batteries are nice for extended fun time. ... show more

    • Great package for the price!
Set name: ATOM 2 (PTD 1 with ND CPL
I purchased this drone after reading reviews for several days. After considering DJI a potential source, I settled on this one instead. I think I made the right choice! I chose to get the Fly More package and so far so good. Its surprisingly stable at a high altitude with moderate winds. My high altitude test was at 2,000 ft straight up! Battery changes literally take seconds, the return home button brings it back within a foot of where it took off originally every time. Yes I would have preferred something with obstacle avoidance but once you're up 100 ft or higher, what is there really that you're going to hit? Just be careful until you are high enough not to have to worry. The screen is bright on the controller, the drone has fast reactions, and the picture quality is excellent. I only wish it had a higher zoom magnification level. Overall I'd say a pretty good start to the drone collection. I will review it again in a few months and let you know my opinion after some serious hours of flight. ... show more

    • Terrific Upgrade
Excellent improvement over the previous controller. No more messing around with connecting a cellphone. Turn on the controller, turn on the drone and ready to go. Visibility in bright sunlight is also very much improved. Overall very happy with my purchase.

    • Potensic PTD-1 Controller for Atom-2 Drone – Great upgrade to a great Starter Drone
After seeing a number of positive YouTube reviews for the PTD-1 controller, and my experience flying a drone with a phone controller, I decided to purchase the PTD-1 controller. I was happy with the stock controller that came with the Atom-2, but wanted a intrusion free experience while flying, as I do take it very seriously, so seriously that I acquired my Part-107 certification before even buying the Atom-2. I had already flown my Atom-2 using the included controller, so I needed to pair the Drone to the controller. As expected, the controller and the Eve app had available firmware & App updates that needed to be installed at first power up. I had to do the same with my iPhone and the standard controller as well as the drone. It seemed that I had to update the PTD-1 twice, and the Drone once to get everything sorted out. I attributed it to moving from my iPhone / iOS to Android. The PTD-1 controller, similar to the standard controller, is substantive and not at all toy like. The screen is reported to be 700 nits brightness and is clear in most outdoor lighting conditions. It is glossy, so at specific angles there is glare. I purchased a matte screen protector which I will apply soon to determine effectiveness. The PTD-1 controller operates exactly as the standard one, minus the need for the smartphone. I weighed purchasing a used / refreshed / refurbished smartphone as I did not have a suitable one that could run the Eve app (downside of trading in phones). Plus, I now have a backup controller should the need arise. The PTD-1 comes with 32GB internal storage, and an available microSD card slot for expansion. I have elected to install a 128GB card. You can also plug the PTD-1 into a computer via the USB-C connection to transfer recordings. The Atom-2 / PTD-1 can transfer files from the Drone to the controller if desired. You can also perform screen recordings of your flights. If you check out my review of the Atom-2, you will see I did my homework and analysis that resulted in my selecting the Potensic ecosystem over other brands. The PTD-1 controller is a continuation of entry level, non-toy drones that can also be utilized in a professional setting as well as providing value and a positive experience to flyers. IF I decided to add another drone to the fleet, I would, without reservation, purchase the FlyMore combo that included the PTD-1. If you have the Atom-2 with the standard controller, this is a great upgrade to the flying experience. ... show more

    • Don't hesitate buy now. Awesome controller
I am just starting to get into drones and this controller is so much easier to use than trying to use my phone. I was worried about spending the money on this controller, but I love it display is very nice and easy to see in sunlight. Connects to my drone faster and have not had any signal lost yet. Have reservations about this remote I say get it you won't be disappointed! ... show more
