"7yo bought this with his allowance money. Had a blast with it for about a week, and then one of the propellers started making an annoying buzzing sound. After carefully replacing it, it could no longer fly anymore, and so we threw it in the trash." The above was my 2-star review of the product, but upon seeing this, the seller contacted us and, in a very pleasant surprise, offered a full refund. Now, had they simply gone ahead with the refund upon my accepting this offer, I would have upped this review to 4 stars... but they then instead tried to talk me into giving their product another chance, asking for my address so as to ship me a new one. This is, of course, against Amazon's rules, as sellers displeased with bad reviews could take out their displeasure upon the authoring customers if they had such personal information! Furthermore, I am also rather annoyed that, while Amazon points out in the messaging system that sellers cannot request your personal information, the example Amazon provides is just of your phone number and not your mailing address, so I imagine there are probably numerous customers who don't think about it and unwittingly provide such information. Suffice to say that I pointed out the above and insisted on the full refund as they had previously promised. To their credit, they did indeed give me a full refund, which the 7yo was thrilled to receive. As such, I'm willing to chalk up the above behavior to ignorance instead of intent to do me harm or mischief, and so I'm improving my review from 2 stars to 3 stars instead of 4 while detailing exactly why so that potential buyers can be forewarned.

It’s cheap, basic, and great for beginners. I bought the red one as some users have had issues with green and it’s easier to find when it crashes. It’s a great beginner drone that I bought to learn how to fly as a 30 something year old to tide me over the COVID blues this cold and snowy winter. My dad and older brother both enjoyed flying it as well when I showed it to them. I’ve had it for a few days and crashed it quite a bit. It’s inevitable unit you get the hang of the controls, but no concerns yet apart from calibrating the unit after a good tumble. For $30, I think it’s a great price. You can’t expect the Porsche of drones for that much, but for the money spent, It appears to be a solid little RC and I am happy with the purchase. I used to run Adult RC trucks ($$$$) and find the same quality here with equal enjoyment. If you buy this for a kid, it will break. Kids break stuff! If you are mindful and gentle with it, understanding how complex of a little machine this it, I would expect it to treat you to hours of entertainment as it has me. In the future, I would like to upgrade to a more expensive unit, but this won’t break the bank as bad (as my RC Trophy Truck!) unit I gain confidence in my skills. I would consider buying more batteries and chargers for this as it’s a lot of fun to fly. If you use the recommended 5v2a charger (not included), it’s helps reduce the much anticipated wait between sessions

Overall we've bought 3 of these. Two for our sons and 1 as a present for a friend. They are easy to fly, the prop guards are a great feature, we've had others in the past that didn't have those and props got damaged quickly. One of the drones we received only included 1 battery so we contacted the company and they sent the others out. Great customer service.

I purchased two of these drones for my children. The drones fly well but one of them does not do the flips and acrobatic maneuvers that are advertised. Both drone packages also appear to have been opened previously with sticker residue on the package. Apart from those issues the drones fly well and are still fun to play with.

When the drone first arrived, the three batteries were duds. It literally took longer to change the battery than it would fly. I contacted Amazon who put me in contact with Protensic. The shipped me a whole new drone and batteries. These worked just as described. Earned 5 stars for customer service recovery. I'm glad I ordered Christmas early and checked the product before wrapping. Nice little simple beginner drone from what I've played with so far. Expect use in finished basement and backyard.

I bought this for an 8 yr old first time user of drones...because an article had recommended it for that age group. But I beg to differ. ...and the packaging also displays that it's for 13+ (in which I now agree with). One of my annoyances with this drone is that the instructions tell you how to calibrate it...but that calibration seems to have zero effect. There's also a couple modes to make it easier for beginners(or 8 yr olds)...but for some reason, I can't get that easier mode to initiate. Kind of a bummer. After a few uses, it drifts to the Left, upon taking off. Fresh out of the package, it didn't drift that way. ...and again, I should mention that the re-calibration doesn't solve that issue. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

This thing is super easy to fly! It's crazy durable! Our 2 year old cab drive this! No joke. We have flown this all over. When the battery gets low it goes a bit crazy and doesn't respond well and then will crash. But it will be fine. Great little toy!
