Miss Kitty is a finicky feline who is normally hard to please with toys, until we found this flopping fish. Upon arrival, she fell asleep with it after fighting it hard for over a hour. Days later, she hasn’t let it out of her sight. She enjoys carrying it around, as it flops around smacking her cheek. I got this thinking my kittens would like it, and I have seen them carrying it around a couple of times, but the real testimonial is that my older cat finally discovered it and started playing with it! She doesn't play with anything else which made me sad, but she seems to like this. She was hugging it and kicking it with her back feet just like the photos/videos you see of normal cats. She will flop around on the floor with it and roll on it. She picks it up by the fin and throws it. She even gets territorial and guards it from the kittens.

Not sure how well this will work for my cats as I am in the process of charging it for the first time. I'm giving it a 4 star review at this point because I'm hopeful. Both cats were immediately attracted to it undoubtedly because of the catnip. Also, I didn't see a remote control version when I made the purchase but if this works out I will buy another one to engage both cats at the same time. I like the idea I can recharge it. I'm hopeful this will be what I'm looking for. We have dozens of toys and none attract their interest apart from a wand with a colored ribbon and very possibly this fish. Fingers crossed.

The toy is super cute, the color is great, the material is good quality, the proce is good. Cons: my cats were interested but once it moved around, they just ignored it. So for the reason I bought it, it is a flop for me. If you have a wood flooring, mind it will be making thud sounds, not so loud though, just know you will hear it at night.

I've had the rainbow trout for two months now and my 7 month-old cat still plays with it whether it is turned off or on. He loves to fling it around and entertain himself with it. Several times I have found it in the bed next to me after my cat was evidently playing with it during the night. I don't have any complaints about the battery charge. The charge has lasted more than 3-4 days depending on the number of times/duration I've left it on for. I think the quality of the material is great; my cat loves to grab it with his sharp claws and bite it and the fabric has not frayed or gotten snagged like so many blankets I own! It has hit our hardwood floor many times from my cat flinging it and it still works. I think it is a great value and if it ever wears out, I will get another one.

My cats love it, but the battery only lasts for about 30 minutes and then it has to be recharged. So then they ignore it. Have to take it and recharge.

It has a charging cord included and I happened to have an adapter that fit. I tried it with my small terrier. It works, but she isn’t interested. She watched it flop for a minute and gave it a sniff. That was all. It would likely be more attractive to cats.
