First let me say that Amazon is getting worse about delivering items that appear to have been opened and or used. I've received blatantly used items in the past. This item appears to have not been used but the Box did show signs of having been opened and poorly re-taped. Okay having said that I've always had good luck with Porter-Cable tools in the past and this one appears to not disappoint as well. I was hoping to be able to use this as a dual reciprocating saw and jigsaw. Other tool companies have advertised products with that capability and have received bad reviews because a duel tool will do neither. This Porter-Cable reciprocating saw did not advertise as a duel reciprocating / jigsaw. I would like to make that clear. I was hoping, but after operating it there is way too much vibration to be a jigsaw. But as a reciprocating saw it's very capable. I give the overall saw 5 stars, but with reservations. It is quite heavy, like 16" chainsaw heavy. Too much vibration, it would probably simple jig (again, this is not a jigsaw so my expectations for a jig cut is irresponsible.) But I believe you could get some pretty good 2x4 cuts, fence posts, oversize tree branches etc. (I believe the 5star pool is tainted on every product so i give 3 stars only so that this gets read, but its really a 5star product) ... show more
