Arrived on time, fit my Porter Cable sander same as original. Velcro on off pads works as it should. And was able to use the paper I already had after ace hardware told me these are no longer offered and have gone to a 5/8 Arbor only now making my sander obsolete. Sanded old table from 40 grit to 220, and did same table ten years or so ago with same sander. Original pad was pretty bad shape, replacement made as new ... show more

The original pad self-destructed after only 21 years of use. I'm still angry. This was a perfect replacement. Remember, the necessary wrench kit is in the original plastic case for the sander.

If you want the "blank slate" Standard Pad Search Amazon > PORTER-CABLE 16000 6 In Standard Pad for 7336 and 97366 Random Orbit Sander. Purchased this 18001 & 16000 back in July 2013 to replace a stock pad on a PC 7336, Note: At the time before purchasing due to the above poorly angled single Amazon picture; I thought I had to buy the 18001 Hook & Loop seperately then adhere it on the 16001 Standard pad... but this is not the case: The 18001 is a fully standalone "velcro" like Hook and loop replacement pad... Installation: Loosen the nut connected to your original pad with the wrench that came with your buffer/sander then unscrew the stock pad.. Screw on new pad, then tighten nut with wrench.. The 18001, 6 holed pad is designed for both buffing/polishing and sanding... but I primarily use this for automotive buffing (Polish/waxing) and despite having the 6 holes the hook and loop holds the buffing pad tighter & securely compared to my stock pad. The stronger hold is definately a plus but bewary when removing the buffing pad. When removing work around & loosen the edges rather than ripping it off all at once quickly like a bandaid.. My Final thoughts: Excellent product, easy install, powerful hold, multi tasker, The Amazon webpage should put some additional pictures angles of this product because that single one looks like it 2-D flat.. ... show more

Fit my PC sander perfectly. Installation was a little tough till I found the very thin wrench for this. Also found even that wrench worked best inserted from the back of the tool spindle, rather than sides or front. Pad spun off easy after that and install was just as easy. I expect the longevity to be great. I use this sander for boat bottom sanding, and the last pad lasted me years. Price a bit steep though, especially compared to the 5" PC pad I replaced at the same time. ... show more
