This board is an amazing deal! It is easy to balance on and paddle with. I used it on calm water and water with some waves and it was easy to maintain balance, but your experience may be impacted on your level and experience. It comes with a great bag to store everything and keep it compact and transportable, and the pump is decent. The rear fin is easy to put on and take off. I used an electric pump to fill it with air until it looked full, and then finished pumping it up to 14 psi with the manual pump that comes with it.

I have both this orange portal paddle board as well as a blue weekender board by retrospec and this portal board is by far my favorite of the two. I was lucky enough to snag this during an end of summer sale last year, but honestly with the way it performs, the way it’s so easy to transport, setup, and use - I would say it’s worth it to splurge on even at full price. It’s very sturdy to stand on, it glides fast on the water, and it’s super cute to boot! The hand pump works great, at first I thought the psi gauge was broken, but I just hadn’t pumped it up enough. Pro tip: if using the hand pump you’ll know you’re nearing the required psi amount when you feel it resisting you when pushing down to inflate and that’s about when the gauge starts to read the psi. An electric pump is definitely quicker and much easier, but I almost prefer using the hand pump because I don’t mind the extra workout lol.

The first time I got this board it deflated a little bit but so far it's held the air and we have had so much fun. Also I dont know if the pump I recieved is defective but the board says suggested PSI 15. I can get it to 3, and she firm. Easy to take out and put away. I suggest giving some time to let it dry before putting away, or a towel you can keep with it to dry it off. My 10year old son can balance great so far I straddle and paddle. I'm sure this will last years so im very excited.

I love this paddle board! I knew buying it that the pump might have some issues but I loved the colors and design on this one so I went ahead and bought it. Upon receiving mine I found that the hose on my pump had a hole in it. I contacted Portal and asked if they could send me a new hose. They sent me a whole new pump within two days! I have not tried the new pump yet so I cannot say if the psi gauge works on it. However, I am still very pleased over all with my board.

I was excited to receive my new iSUP. Upon opening the box the first thing that hit me was the smell. When I opened the bag it was even worse! It was a mix of vinyl and glue. Very strong!! Thank goodness the smell is gone now!! I noticed when I began to inflate it that the gauge would go up when I pumped the air in and then it would just drop. Being I have never owned an iSUP and therefore never inflated one, I wasn’t sure if that was normal. I continued to inflate it until the gauge hit 14 psi for a second before it dropped again. I was banking on the gauge being correct for a nanosecond, though was concerned if it was over or under inflated. About a week later, a friend of mine brought over her iSUP and I noticed her gauge never dropped during inflation which verified that my gauge was faulty. I have contacted the company but haven’t had any resolution to yet. Other than the faulty gauge and under enthusiastic customer support, I do love my board. It glides on the water easily. It’s super lightweight! And handles the waves with no problems! If and when I do get a new gauge and/or pump, I will update this review.
