    • Good Tent !
I really like this tent, it’s very easy to set up taking maybe 10 minutes or less to set up (meaning everything, had the stakes in the ground and rain fly on + it being set up within those minutes). It is very spacious inside, but not really for 8 people as it’s advertised, 8 people would be a tight squeeze in my opinion. But for yourself or like up to 6 people depending on their body size would be comfortable. I’m just a 5ft girl who wanted it for herself because I like having a lot of space in my tent for air flow / a place to stand to get changed. Which speaking of, the tent itself is roughly 6ft tall, so if you are under 6ft like I am this tent will be difficult for you to set up alone or with other short people. I was fortunate enough to have taller friends with me to help me set it up, however I unfortunately would not be able to do it alone unless having a stepping stool but even then its difficult to reach the middle of the tent at the top after extending its legs to pop it up. So yes its big and spacious but be mindful you will need help if you are short. Other things I liked about it were how many windows it offers, the air circulation was amazing I took it for a 5 day camping trip during a blazing hot summer week and I felt relatively comfortable in the tent with the windows open and a mini fan on + nice being able to look out from any angle so that would be good for people with children. The colors of the tent itself are also nice, pretty unique actually I’ve never seen a tri colored tent like this so I do like it sorta sticking out making it easy to see in a sea of tents. The weight of it when rolled into the bag is slightly on the heavy side, but I’m able to carry it by myself. I recommend wearing it like a backpack if you have to walk far, my friend showed me that trick it was really smart actually. & It does take up a lot of space though in my trunk or my back seat (I’m in a Corolla for reference), but it fits. Lastly I was pleasantly surprised by the price, for this tent being just under $200 but offering so much I was impressed. It’s a good affordable tent, I just hope it lasts long and does good in other weather as I haven’t tested it in the rain yet. TLDR; 10 min or less set up with 2 people Lots of space & windows inside Unique tent color with a good price ... show more

I purchased this tent for camping on the beach, the first night we got there there were 15-20mph winds while setting up the tent so it took us a while to set up but it was still super easy. i will say if you plan on camping on sand, you should buy different stakes made for the sand as the stakes that were provided won't stay. We purchased separate stakes for this trip and they held down the tent perfectly. we luckily didn't skip putting on the rainfly because it started POURING rain about 2 hrs later after we set up the tent. there was not a single drop in the tent and kept the inside super dry. i have no complaints about the tent. we packed the tent up in about 5 mins and we were on our way. it made camping so easy and i can't wait to use it again! ... show more

We got this because our beloved Springbar canvas tent just doesn't have enough ventilation for camping in the summer. We camped for three nights at the beach in Florida, and it stayed pretty cool at night. The second night we had a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain for hours. The tent only leaked very slightly at the door zippers, which was pretty amazing given the amount of rain. Our pillows, which were pressed up against the tent fabric, never even got damp. Thus was my first time camping and I was looking for a tent that would be roomy, easy, durable. That is what this was. It was simple to put up. You will however need to have a mallet handy to get the hooks in the ground. The second night it rained pretty heavy and not a drop got inside the tent. I don’t typically write review but when I do…. It’s for awesome products like this! We had recently purchased another brand new tent from a well known name in camping supplies. Their name rhymes with Coleman :). It literally didn’t make it through the first day with 2 snapped poles. The Portal tent felt like better quality and more thought out. Setup is maybe 5 minutes. It poured for 12hrs. On first use and not one drop inside. Also fit our queen air Mattress and all of our gear with plenty of room for activities! Would highly recommend to anyone that asks… or doesn’t. Just buy it it’s pretty great! ... show more

Had enough room, very easy to set up. Took about 3 or 4 minutes total from start to finish for my wife and I. Plenty of room for our stuff and a queen size air mattress. We're both 5'7 and stood straight up just fine (not hard to do 🤣) had some rain and it stayed dry. Only thing that I didn't like is the zipper on the door catches and the rain from the fly will come in when you open the door (very little). Overall, great tent for the money! Absolutely love this tent. The size is amazing and set up/tear down is super fast. One person can set it up in about 5 mins and take down is about the same amount of time. Had a rainstorm on one of our nights camping and the interior was bone dry all night. We have 2 extra large cots that fit in here with plenty of room to move around in the tent at the same time.
