Okay so if you camp in an RV you already know the shower situation is a whole thing. Heating water used to be such a pain until I grabbed this little yellow heater. You just drop the metal part into a bucket, plug it in, and the red light on top lets you know it’s doing its job. Water warms up faster than I expected and the thermometer that comes with it is actually handy so you’re not constantly sticking your hand in to check. Cord is long enough to reach the outlet at most campsites too. A couple suggestions though — an auto shut-off would be really nice since you get distracted at camp and forget things, and a higher waterproof rating would give a little more peace of mind outdoors. But honestly for RV camping this thing is a solid buy.

Alright so this is a little water heater for buckets or tubs. It's not for a whole bathtub I don't think. More like a five gallon bucket. The heater itself is a metal cylinder, maybe six inches long and two inches around. Silver color. There's a cord coming out the top that's like six or eight feet long with a regular wall plug on the end. On the top there's a little plastic cap area with a red light that comes on when it's plugged in. You don't press any buttons or set any temperature. You just put the metal part in the water, make sure the plug stays dry, and plug it in. It floats kind of? Or you can hang it over the edge using the cord. No batteries. No fancy display. Just a simple heater. Comes in a cardboard box with a one page manual that says not to run it out of water and stuff. That's pretty much it.

This immersion heater has turned into one of those tools I keep reaching for when cold water is slowing me down. I’ll set up a bucket or a small tub, drop the unit in fully submerged, and let it do its thing while I handle other tasks nearby. The heating feels fast and steady, not like it’s struggling. I also like that the guard design keeps it from sitting right against the container wall, which matters when I’m using whatever bucket is within reach. The built-in temperature display is what keeps the whole process controlled. I can see the numbers climbing and stop when the water hits the range I want.
