It would have worked better for me if I could have lowered it just a little bit more. I just use a block under the pipe if needed. I took a bolt cutter and shortened the legs and it works much better for me now.

This works good on the small one pound bottles. I purchased an adapter to hook to a 20 pound tank. I have had nothing but trouble. To be honest it should get 5 stars if using small bottles but if planing on using big tanks it should get 0 stars. It acts like it’s getting too much gas. I’ve done spent way more trying to get adapters and regulators hooked to it than I should have.

The burner was easy to hook up to our small propane tank and was stable on its tripod. When we found the hot spot in the almost invisible flame we were able to seal off a small glass tube with no problems. Its a great little burner, at a reasonable price.

I was able to adjust the flame to blue hotness, and sharp enough to melt the center of a small open-ended capillary tube to allow me to pull it out into two almost hair-like micro pipettes. So! Money well spent! Yea!

my wife got this burner for me as a a random surprise gift. top of the head where the fire comes out came in the package damaged, dented in and bent along almost one entire side, caging in grated grated fencing that spreads the flame as it burns. bummed out as I was i still, with causion attached the head to a new propane tank and gave it a shot, still works properly, most likely just as it should, so 'grats on that aspect of durability, guess damages are all in all purely cosmetic... still a pretty awesome torch...
