I own a dental lab and have been using standard bunsen burners for decades. We have to use propane cylinders because my area has no gas service. Hired a new technician last week and needed to order a bunsen burner. Before ordering from my usual supply company I looked on Amazon and saw this one which seemed perfect. It arrived in one day and yes indeed, it was perfect. Took about a minute to adjust the flame to how we use it and it works great. Will probably upgrade all my bunsen burners with this one. I'm going to give this a few weeks to see how it holds up, and if all is well, will be ordering a dozen to replace our old ones.     • Works on a one pound bottle but not on a 20 pound one.

This works good on the small one pound bottles. I purchased an adapter to hook to a 20 pound tank. I have had nothing but trouble. To be honest it should get 5 stars if using small bottles but if planing on using big tanks it should get 0 stars. It acts like it’s getting too much gas. I’ve done spent way more trying to get adapters and regulators hooked to it than I should have. ... show more

I teach high school chemistry in a homeschool co-op. We do not have a real chemistry lab, benches, gas lines for bunsen burners, etc. This item works great--incomparably better than those little alcohol burners. This product heats up the beakers of water on the ring stand / iron ring / wire gauze set-up very efficiently. The only thing is that your space must be well-ventilated. This item came well packaged and seems well built. BUT it cannot be adjusted down to an easy flame. It stays as a torch the entire time. No matter what I did, the flame would not go to an easy flame like the video on the advertisement. So this is really worthless for what i bought it for. The swivel head has a full range of motion and has to be cranked fairly tight to stay in place. It came with the hose attachment for the fuel cylinders. It's great for jewelers, bootleggers, chemists, distillers, blacksmiths, and really anyone who likes a bunsen burner but wants a more portable version. 10/10 ... show more

We used the bunson burner for a science experiment and it performed really well. My son was able to learn so much about the scientific process. Thanks for making this with the tripod. It was very easy to slide the metal stand underneath the tripod for our experiment.

My use is for casting metal. It works well on aluminum but not hot enough for steel. Propane is inadequate for steel unless in a kiln.
