  • Works as advertised
Size: 2000Wh
This is a great unit. It holds a 100% charge for months unused. That was my first test. It will power a fridge/freezer combo for about a day. I have also used it tied to two 320W solar panels and have been able to run this unit and a few items simultaneously for days on eneld provided I get enough sunlight. The display let's you know input and output, great! Weakness: limited solar input for maximum intake and also minimum, one 100w panel isn't enough for the unit to take any charge. Note: go into settings to assure you're getting the charge from the right source. I can run a fridge, internet, and a freezer with two 320w panels indefinitely provided I get 6-9 hours of sunlight a day. ... show more

  • Good for camping trips and blackouts
Size: 300Wh
This is a convenient item to have around the house and for taking on camping trips. This portable battery backup system is the size of a lunchbox and weighs only 7 pounds (without the charger). We had owned it for about 2 months when it came in really handy during a power outage. The whole unit came with just a power cord and an instruction manual. I immediately turned it on and it was setting a around 80% charge so I plugged it in to top it off. It took about an hour to fully charge. Operation is pretty easy for selecting the appropriate charging outputs. The display is nice and clear with plenty of information when charging and discharging. It has a PureSine 110 A/C outlet perfect for laptops. It also has a 30w USB-C port, two 15w USB-A ports, a 60w DC barrel jack, and a 96w DC lighter jack. So the output power options are many. The first time I used it came with a unexpected winter storm that knocked out the power to our neighborhood for an entire day. The battery backup had set for a couple of months and only had lost 4% of its full charge. 2% a month seems pretty good to me. After a day of intermittent use it had dropped the total charge down to just over 50%. Charging phones, laptop, a Switch Lite, using the internal light, powering various small kitchen items for just over 24 hours. I'd say that's a pretty good field test for this battery backup system. As long as it's not being used with a constant drain item, a couple of days of on/off usage seems good to me. With a solar charger on it during a camping trip it probably lasts way longer. Glad we had it when we needed it most. 5 stars. ... show more

  • Wow
Size: 300Wh
Really nice to have for camping. Charges with the included cable, which takes awhile, but is completely worth it. This thing charges every which way you can imagine. Multiple USB ports, a house plug and a car adapter plug!! It's so cool!!! Pretty heavy, but nothing crazy. Neat color. Performs well and doesn't get hit at all really. I never put it to load though, so it might get warmer than I know. Battery lasts forever if you just charge phones or light led lights with it. Kinda crazy how long it lasts. Really recommend it. ... show more

  • Nice package
Size: 300Wh
Some how, I snagged this for 50 percent off retail, making it a very good deal. I bought it specifically to support my upcoming eclipse trip. I have a small mount, telescope, DSLR and laptop computer to power, and my testing shows so far I can use less than 50 percent capacity over a 4-6 hour period, even though I am powering all my equipment off of 'wallwart' transformers at 120V. I could probably get even longer runtime if I hooked all my equipment directly to 12V instead of the wallwarts. It's pretty light and portable, as well as easy to control and monitor. And what I really like is the pastel green color, rather than the shocking orange a lot of the other brands are colored. But then, I run the risk of leaving it by the roadside, like my camping chair at the last eclipse. ... show more

  • Retro Look Pure Sine Wave Portable Power Backup Power Station
Size: 300Wh
I've been using the Dr. Prince Portable Power Station mainly on weekend camping trips, and it's quite a handy changer to have around. The first thing I noticed when I got it was how compact it is. At 9 x 5.8 x 7.9 inches and weighing just under 7 pounds, it was easy to pack up and take along. Don't let the size fool you though; this little guy packs a punch with a nearly 300 watt hour capacity and 300 watt AC output. I can use it to charge my phone, laptop, and even my camping lights all at the same time. This charger will make all the difference to keep my flashlights and iPad charged during the next power outage, too. The built-in 110V Pure Sine Wave AC outlet is quiet and efficient, and it's great for sensitive devices like my laptop and iPad. It's also got a couple of regulated DC Outputs, which are great for powering and recharging my fans and lights. The quick charger USB and USB-C port are perfect for when my phone needs a charge. I plan to follow the guidelines for keeping the battery in top shape by topping it up to around 50% or so every few months so it will always be ready to use when needed. Charging options are pretty diverse, too. I haven't gotten around to using a solar panel yet, but I do plan to pick up a solar panel when I see one on sale. For now, the wall outlet and car charging are more than enough to keep me prepared for the next power outage or just to take with me on camping trips. The 4-hour full charge time is pretty respectable, considering the power this unit offers. It's not designed to power heavy-duty appliances like electric grills or induction cookers. But to be honest, if you're going camping, you're probably not bringing your microwave with you. The Dr. Prince Portable Power Station is a reliable, highly portable solution for my smaller device (300Wh and under) power needs when I'm outdoors. I'm happy to add it to my camping gear and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a solid power backup while on the go. ... show more
