  • Fantastic value- worked great right out of the box. Very portable and pretty quiet
Size: 4000W
Dude- this thing really exceeds my expectations for a sub $500 generator that is rated for 4000w. I bought the thing, it showed up Thursday- I put oil in it and gas and went right to the track with it Thursday night. I then proceeded to run an rv with AC, tire warmers, travel fridge- everything off of it all weekend. This thing didn’t even flinch. It started in the second pull and idles down quickly. It handled the AC unit hard starts every time and chugged right along in the sun all weekend. My only gripe is that the fuel tank is a taaad small for this size. If you’re loading it up with 3000-4000w regularly, you’ll maybe get 5 hrs out of a tank. But for a suitcase generator that is rated at 4000w, is compact, simple to use and even pretty quiet- I’d say that’s a small trade off. I was so impressed I bought the 2300w version of this same generator the following week for only $350. That thing works just as good and is perfect for small day trips or mini camping weekends. These are solid generators. ... show more

  • Everyone Should Have One of These!
Size: 2300W
I bought this initially to use with the Mig Welder I just bought online as well. I needed to do a small welding job away from the house and I needed electricity. So I ordered the AtlanTec 2300i generator to provide the power for the welder. I needed something compact, light weight and easy to use. This generator really fits my need. It was easy to start and I like the design that the pull starter was tucked into the side of the unit and did not get in the way when you carry the generator. Put oil in it, add gasoline, pull the starter and that's it. It started right up. It's quiet and runs great. I love the fact that when you don't have power needs the generator shifts down and runs at a much slower speed. Saving gasoline and is even quieter! ... show more

  • Fuel-efficient, Quiet, and Reliable
Size: 4000W
I bought this generator mainly for backup power during storms and to use at job sites, and it hasn’t disappointed. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it runs compared to other units in this range. It’s so quiet. The fact that I can have a clear conversation with someone standing right next to it and it not be a nuisance is awesome. When something is running for 8+ hours at a time, the last thing you want is an obnoxiously loud running noise. Additionally, the fuel efficiency is impressive; I ran a full day with consistent usage and still had gas left. For a 4000W generator, it’s surprisingly compact and not a nightmare to move around. I can load it into the back of my truck without needing a second person. The startup is reliable and fires up on the first pull nearly every time. It powers everything I need, from a fridge and lights to tools and chargers. Build quality seems solid, and nothing feels flimsy or rattly. It’s not the cheapest unit on the market, but the performance makes it worth every penny. Whether you’re preparing for an outage or need portable power, this one covers it all without being a hassle. ... show more

  • Buy the Honda, avoid aggravation. This thing worked as advertised for 10 hours. Then, DEAD.
Size: 4000W
Initial impression was great. Started up fine, ran sorta quiet but not as quiet as a Honda 2000i. After the third night of operation the motor only started after many pulls. Then it was all stutter and cough on start up but, after 10 minutes it mostly smoothed out with occasional hickups/drops in RPM. Fourth night it put up a fight but kept the R-Pod 20' AC unit working but, wouldn't power the A/C and an Ego Battery Charger simultaneously. 5th night...Fuggitaboutit. After 12 pulls it would run very rough with rocking and lurching obvious. Then, when it seemed it would smooth out it died as soon as ANY load (110 outlets recharging a cell phone). Restarted initially but died immediately when the load was attached. Then it wouldn't run after restarting. I watched the throttle control move and then it would die with only the 'Over Load' lamp illuminated but, no load was attached. Eventually it just wouldn't restart at all. If it did hit for a couple of revolutions, the "Over Load' lamp was the only sign of life. Borrowed a Honda EU2000i for a couple of days and it kept up with all needs. Get what you pay for and, you can't return it because you put oil and fuel in it. Thankfully, Amazon refunded my money and told me to keep, dispose, repair or donate the corpse. ... show more

  • Worth the $$
Size: 2300W
This is a nice little generator for the price, it arrived quickly and was packed quite well. These motors are shipped with no oil and it requires 350cc's (.35L) of oil before starting for the first time. The spark plug was significantly over torqued, it's gap was a little narrow according to the spec. Not a big deal, in my opinion the plug should be checked also before running. The unit started first pull and ran smoothly. I live at 5500' and these require a high altitude jit (jet) for elevations above 3000', knowing this I ordered the kit and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It's a simple installation of a jet (regardless of what the vendor says, the carburetor bowl is easily accessible under the side cover by removing 2 screws). This unit ran acceptably for a test run but it's mixture is too rich to operate continuously at high altitudes without the kit, also not a big deal, proper jetting will save fuel and allow the motor to run as it was designed. Regarding this generator's noise level, the specs are very optimistic from my testing, I measured the unit on eco mode 15' away and it was 61DB measured from the control end, not the exhaust. Around 70db if the gen is pulling a big load. In eco mode the motor speed ramps up and from what I can tell it's rpm (sound level) will depend on the load. 350W load caused it to ramp up some but not to full, a 1500W load had the gen running at it's top rpm and it handled the 1500W load with no issue. So far this is a nice unit and despite it being a little louder then the listed spec, it's not excessive and on par with others in this price range. The sound level was sampled at the distance shown in the picture with the generator in the yard. The vendor has informed me that they carry the high altitude kit. ... show more
