I decided to give this portable winch a try, hoping it would help move larger items or load them onto a truck for disposal. What I Love About This Winch: Portability & Convenience: The fact that this winch doesn’t need to be permanently mounted immediately caught my attention. It’s powered by a standard portable drill, which is something most people already own. This makes it incredibly versatile and easy to use. Compact & Lightweight: At roughly 12 inches by 8 inches and weighing under 13 pounds, it’s compact enough to store in my truck or even a larger toolbox. Its portability makes it ideal for road trips, snowy weather emergencies, or general worksite use. Surprisingly Sturdy: I was impressed to find a steel cable instead of a synthetic rope, which I wasn’t expecting at this price point. The winch comes with 40 feet of cable—plenty for most tasks. Adding a snatch block not only increases the reach but also doubles the pulling power, making it capable of handling heavier loads. Versatility: This winch is incredibly versatile, whether used to move heavy objects, clear debris, or even as an overhead hoist in a workshop. Its 750-lb pulling capacity is enough for most jobs, and with a snatch block, you can handle even heavier loads with ease. What Could Be Improved: While the winch performs flawlessly, I’d love to see an option for a carry case or protective cover to keep it safe and organized. That said, given the affordable price, it’s not a dealbreaker, and I plan to find a small case to store it in my truck toolbox. Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review. This is a cable winch that you power with your portable drill. It’s got two large hooks at each end and about 40’ of steel cable. It’s compact at about 8 inches by 12 inches and it weighs about 12 ½ lbs. It’s small enough to carry with you in your truck or you can keep it out of the way in your shop. It’s got a pretty good heavy-duty cable that wraps around the reel in the plastic housing carrying case. You extend the cable by pulling the release knob and the cable pulls out fairly easily. You use your own power drill to retract the cable. There are two variations of the winch, the 750 lbs and the 1500 lbs. I got the 750 lbs and it does move heavy things. There is a good amount of leverage it uses for the lift or pull, but that means it requires your drill to work pretty hard. The drill has to run at full speed for a minute or two just to retract the cable a couple of feet. You need to make sure you’ve got a fully charged battery if you have a long heavy lift or pull. The winch does a good job pulling a up trailer or a small vehicle, or moving a big log, or it comes in real handy doing fencing and pulling the wires tight. The main thing is to be aware it puts strain on your drill and it drains the battery fairly quick, but that's to be expected when you're doing heavy work.

It weighs just a little over twelve pounds. I use it to pull my 0 turn mowers up on my Landscape trail when they will not start. I really like how portable it is. I can lock it up in my truck. I like not haveing a winch out in the open when I'm away from my truck/trailer while working. It has a little window on top. So you can see the cable when you are rolling it up. The bottom is open also. It has a release knob that you can pull and turn to release the cable. The cable also winds up rather quickly with a drill. I was impressed by that. I would recommend this to anyone looking for the small, light wight , portable winch.

The media could not be loaded. I love how simple this winch is and that it’s easy to use. When I saw it, I could think of endless uses for it on my farm. It pairs well with my 24 volt battery powered drill; it's not quick but runs faster than a manual come along. I have used it to tension fences, move logs, and pull loads onto my flatbed trailer. Each time this winch has worked as it should. I am impressed with how compact the design is. I really like how the top handle on the winch makes it easy to transport and maneuver. I found the clutch easy to cycle between free spool and lock. The hooks are substantial and one feature that stood out to me is that the winch has a steel cable, the materials are durable and made for rugged use. I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars for my review because based on the directions, the load rating is based on length of cable that is spooled out. This winch is only rated for a 750 pound load when 19 to 39 feet of cable is spooled out and when 0 to 19 feet of cable is spooled out the rating drops to 400 pounds. Most of the time that I am using this winch, I have less than 19 feet of cable spooled out so the true rating in my application is only 400 pounds. This was not detailed in any of the advertising; the unit was advertised by FITHOIST to have a 750 pound rating with no mention of the 400 pound rating. I am disappointed to learn this only after reading the manual. It is still a great little winch; however, I do wish that I would have ordered one with a greater load capacity.

I have the 750 lbs version. It works fantastically for small jobs, and it's easy to use. I've used it to move a downed tree with little effort. The tree easily weighed over 400 lbs. Setup and use were incredibly easy.
