I pulled a 2800lb log with no problem and some longer ones than that! Pulled an 18’ red oak 22” wide log before the winch gave out! Gave out just after I got it into place! I’ve gotten 2 more winches since then, but somewhat bigger! I would definitely recommend getting one! Just remember that the logs were being pulled on the ground! Not as heavy as being picked up off the ground! This drill powered winch is a work horse!

I used it twice and it broke it’s cheaply made and quite frankly kind of dangerous would not recommend this product.

I've waited a while to post a review. I purchased this a few months ago. This is something I won't use often but absolutely wonderful to have around when you do need it. I've used it to pull lawn tractors onto a trailer, to light heavy items up from my garage floor onto a work bench and a few other mixed uses. It works extremely well, plenty of power for I've used it for. It is geared low so it turns somewhat slowly with my cordless drill but that's the tradeoff, complete convenience vs. less speed. All in all super handy to have around, great value for the money and I expect it will get me out of a pinch many times to come. It seems well built and quite durable. If it fails I will post an update.

This little winch works great. I needed it to load heavy stuff into my Chevy Colorado using ramps or in this specific case, dragging an 800 pound remote mower into a U-haul trailer. The unit arrived ready to use. I hooked the hook on the winch onto a tie down in the trailer. The cable was hooked to the mower. While I used a 1/2 impact wrench, I an sure a regular battery powered drill would work. I released the clutch and smoothly pulled out the cable. The winch uses a 5/16 socket to drive it so I ended up needing an adapter to connect a 3/8 in drive socket. The winch moves smoothly and never seemed to be straining when dragging the mower onto the trailer even though it wouldn't roll. BTW you just reverse the drill to switch between pulling the cable in and letting it out. Cable was a good quality with smooth feel and no burns or other snags on it. I am glad the winch worked as expected as I didn't have a good plan. I would definitely recommend it as a handy tool to have around.
