First of all when my boyfriend saw it he asked, "how much did you pay for it? $400?" No, no where near that. šŸ˜ I had to replace the gold chain that holds my most dear belonging, the holy ghost pendant my grandmother gifted me for my confirmation 24 years ago. My grandmother was also my confirmation sponsor/godmother, anyways it's extremely meaningful to me since I lost her 13 years ago. Also it's a very beautiful and unique pendant. The original chain she gifted me the pendant on started to become unreliable a few years later. The clasp will open and a few times I almost lost my most precious gift. It was a beautiful chain but the clasp issue was becoming problematic and it was a tad bit short. I'm in the service and my pendant cannot be visible in uniform. Eventually mom had a longer sturdier chain and I traded the beautiful one grandmom had given me for that one. The most precious part of my gift was the pendant but I was still sad to give up the original chain my grandmother had selected. As I said, my pendant is very beautiful and I have never seen any other like it and my grandmother had chosen the perfect chain to denote it's splendor. Oh well, I settled for the chain mom had I never again saw the original chain again. This was probably a decade ago. Not sure what mom did with that chain, probably pawned it and got nothing for it because I asked about it later and checked her jewelry and she has no recollection of it. I guess because it was a gift from Grandma I had hoped she would have kept it. Let it go, the pendant is still with me. All these years that second plain but study chain has served me well till a few weeks back it broke. I could get it fixed but I never liked it much. It's not a bad chain it simply didn't compare to the original chain my pendant came with. Being in quarantine I decided to see what Amazon had to offer and I selected this one. Another reason why I preferred to buy a new chain instead of just fixing the one that broke is I could benefit if it were a little longer; I went with 24". It arrived timely enough and it is beautiful. It does seem to be delicate so I need to be careful not to get it tangled on anything and break it. However, since it's long enough it should remain secure underneath my clothing. I'm very happy with my purchase. It looks way more expensive than it is. I still long and cherish the original chain that who knows what mom did with but this chain is lovely. ... show more

2 1/2 months later and the link to the clasp has broken. it will have to be fixed by a jeweler and I'm disappointed. I have not slept with it on, nor have I worn it daily and it has already broken. I wouldn't recommend buying this necklace, even though it looks nice.

This chain is very pretty and unique looking. Thereā€™s a lot of sparkle and shine. Like little mirrors. The only thing I donā€™t like is the clasp. It seems chintsy. Hopefully it holds up

I like this necklace, itā€™s very pretty. A few reviews state that it is sturdy, it is not, itā€™s very delicate. One drawback for me is the clasp is the smallest Iā€™ve ever seen which makes it impossible to get on. My fingers are just average size and I couldnā€™t get it on after 5 minutes of trying and finally asked my husband to clasp it for me. I may take it to my local jeweler to have them put on a bigger clasp, if you purchase this just be beware of this issue. ... show more

4/11/24 Update. The chain broke a few months ago. I canā€™t sort out how to repair it on my own or learn if there is any customer support to help with this (Iā€™d love that!). Still a great piece, and would welcome support to get it fixed! I wanted a simple, quality gold necklace but was struggling to find one locally for a good price. This necklace is lovelyā€”well made, shines nicely and is so far holding up to daily wear. Iā€™m a mountain biker/yoga practitioner and wanted a daily piece of jewelry to add to my otherwise athletic/casual outfits and this piece absolutely fits the bill. After initially purchasing the 16 inch in the 18 k white gold, I wanted to buy another one to layer with it. My ultimate goal is to purchase a total of 4 to have a beautiful layered gold necklace, so I buy one at a time. I love the way it sparkles in the light, and a much better price and investment vs the other laughably thin thread size gold chains that I've purchased over the years for the same price point. My only small point of contention is that now that I own two and I layer them, (16 & 18) they tend to get tangled together when I sleep. However, I think I can manuever around this problem by pinching them together in the back or the sides with a gold loop, clasp or other small jewlery piece. I love how they look and they are designed in such a way that you can slowly build it up as a beautiful layered necklace jewlery piece or they are beautiful as solitary individual chains. ... show more
