I haven't tried reading a book in it yet, but that sounds like a lovely idea. This particular product is far better than most of the rubber inflatables that are out there. It’s built well and I can hardly wait to put it together. Okay so I dread having to put it together but once it’s put together I’ll put it to good use. I’d buy it again.

This was the worst item I have ever purchased for assembly! It took two of us 2 hours only to get to the end and the screw holes didn't match up. Once in the pool, the screw snapped in half on the back portion of the float due to poor alignment of the screws. I would return the item, however cannot get the seat post back out as it would have to be broken just to get it back off. Very upset and disappointed with this item. This is the first review I have ever written on any item purchased through Amazon, that is how upsetting this was. Shame on me for not reading the reviews, but shame on Poolmaster for continuing to sell this product for over $120 and not providing better quality assembly. The screws at the top actually hit the back of your head, not at all comfortable. The actual arms and material of the float are nice quality however. ... show more

Bought two of these for use at the lake. Instructions were extremely difficult to follow - Actually put together three times before we figured out the layout in instructions were backwards. We assembled the 2nd unit using common sense and having the first one as a template. They seem well made and have held up for one season. Like most webbed chairs best to keep out of direct sunlight when not using. I have to find a place to store these for the winter, going to take some room, as once assembled they are quite bulky. Other than the assembly, we really like being able to sit and relax on a hot day with a cold drink. We tie off each to the dock and let the currents take us. The chair itself is probably great as I had the exact some one for about 10 years. But putting it together is another story. The directions TOTALLY SUCK. It gives you all these red dots, two at the head and two at the foot, so I mixed up the toe and foot. Why they are not different colors for head and foot is TOTALLY beyond me. Now when I try to take out the screws, one nut will not come off. If they had color coded the foot and head, this would have NEVER happened. ... show more

I’m totally loving this float. And so glad I got it ahead of the “excessive heat wave” we are going into. Ha. I’m guessing that Amazon fixed the issue that the other reviewers are talking about because I received my 2, my husband put them together fairly quickly and we got them into the pool. Kind of feels like you are floating in your living room. Really comfortable amd I love the arms. If you are looking for a float that will last, this seems like a good choice. I wanted something more reliable than an inflatable float and that I didn’t feel like I was going to fall off of . This is the most comfortable lounge float I have ever bought. The toons do take on water a little but there are hex plugs that you can take out to drain (they are made of plastic and don’t hold up well). Expensive, difficult to assemble, not comfortable area to rest your head. First...trying to put this together was confusing and took some time. Watch a YouTube video for a little help. The arrows on mine did not line up properly but I did get it together without to terribly much trouble. It's great in the water, but the back of the seat where you would rest your head, is a very uncomfortable bar. I'm going to try to use a pool noodle, sliced open, and slide it over the top of the back headrest area. This is very sturdy and seems like it will last a while. ... show more
