Seems like a well made product. I mounted it on an older 4runner for emergencies. I mess around in the mountains in the winter time and wanted a little peace of mind incase I get hung up. I does work with no load. I haven't tried pulling weight with it yet but I'm convinced it will do what I expect. I went with a smaller winch to save weight/room and not intending on needing it alot or for hard pulls. Overall I believe it's of good value for the price

Price $230 for a 12000# winch. Looks good and easy to install. I did a test pull using my 3500 # tractor, pulling it up a 5 % grade. Winch worked great. The only improvement I made was to replace the Hawse fairlead with a roller fairlead to help with angle pulls. Although the spec listing said it came with a wireless remote, only a wired one was included.

The Amazon product listing said "13,500 lb pull as well as a wired and wireless remote. Also, by all indications, it is rated at 13,000 lb pull. I'm not going to quibble over 500 lb rating difference.... It did include both a wired and wireless remote. I tested it for function and it works as it should. I have not tested it under load yet.

Well…it works. Perfect size for the Jeep. Battery cables were plenty long to hide them and make the connection. Synthetic line looks nice. All in all a good winch for the money. But I did have one major issue…After reading the manual I moved forward with the install. Straight forward as it’s ready to mount to your vehicle right out of the box. After disconnecting your battery, mount winch to winch plate, run the positive and negative cables to the battery and connect to the terminal clamps. When I connected the positive clamp to the battery I saw smoke and sparks come from the solenoid on the winch. I immediately disconnected the battery. After some disassembly I found the positive cable was loose on the winch solenoid and the cable end was resting on a mounting screw causing it to arc. After inspecting the wires I found nothing was damaged. I was able to reconnect the cable and protect it from arcing again. All in all it works just fine. But the qc from the factory is lacking. So be sure to look over yours well before connecting it to power.

Love the cordless remote and synthetic rope. Bought it to replace a old badlands 12k winch. Have pulled 4 cars with it so far my only complaint is theres no cable guide so you have to pay attention to keep the spool from bunching up. Overall considering the price i am very happy with it
