  • Blows a normal watch out of the water completely!
Color: Black
POLAR Vantage M3 – Multi-Sport Smartwatch Blows a normal watch out of the water completely! This is an amazing piece of technology. It has numerous features and abilities in a very small compact case. This watch will tell you very detailed information about your body and you workout /sports performance. This is an interesting feature, but I was never particular;y concerned with these details when I am exercising. The primary reason I ordered this watch was for the GPS when it mentions even having access to topographic maps etc. I thought this would make an excellent watch for wilderness hiking and hunting. Getting lost in the wilderness can happen to even the best of us and it can take some time to get re-orientated and find you place again. I ordered this watch in the hopes it will drastically cut down on that time under such circumstances. In order to test it, I deliberately got myself lost. It took a while for the watch to sync with the satellite, but once it did it was very accurate. The watch shows small triangle which moves indicating the direction you are facing , so it made navigating back to a road and civilization very easy. I performed this in an area that does not normally have cell phone reception, so I found it all the more impressive that the watch continued to work. A great watch for any person interested in sport, exercise or outdoor activities. Blows a normal watch out of the water completely! 5 stars! The photos on Amazon, provided by the seller, do more justice to the product than any I could add. Any additional photos I might add would only prove redundant. Explaining my rating system: 5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend 4 - above average – a great choice 3 - average – what one might generally expect 2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative 1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible ... show more

  • Long lasting battery. Good for working out.
Color: Black
Nice quality smart watch. The battery is long lasting. It will last 5 days of constant use. For working out its a great watch to have. Its very accurate and seems strong. Its water proof so sweat wont mess it up. The app for the watch is not user friendly. Hard to use and hard to customize the smart watch. If you are used to something like an apple watch you wont get used to this. I was never able to receive any calls or text on this watch. Very pricy for what it does. There are a lot of smart watches out there that i have enjoyed more than this one in particular. The best thing i would say is how long the battery lasts with one charge. And the worst part is how not iser friendly it is. The buttons are small and hard to press. I wish it was more user friendly so it could be more enjoyable rather than just good to work out. ... show more

  • Still learning how to use it best
Color: Black
The POLAR Vantage M3 has been a fantastic addition to my fitness gear! It was easy to set up and pair with my devices, which got me started quickly. The battery life is impressive, lasting almost the full 7 days as promised. There are so many exciting functions to explore, making it a versatile tool for various sports and activities. Although I had to refer to the online manual several times to understand all the features, it was manageable. It's worth noting that it doesn't come with a charging brick, but overall, it's a really nice find that I'm glad I invested in! 5 stars! ... show more

  • Takes some getting used to, as there are SO many features.
Color: Black
First, I am reviewing from the perspective of someone who has not recently owned a sport watch of this caliber. Weighing in at 1.9 oz. (56 g), it’s almost twice the weight of the slim Fitbit I’ve been using for the last 5-6 years. However, I have gotten used to it, and it’s comfortable. The watch itself is 1 3/4” in diameter, and the actual usable face is 1 5/16” in diameter. There are way too many features to list here, but everything needed to know is in the Polar Flow app, which has extremely detailed and comprehensive information on how the features work and how to use them. With that said, the watch can be totally overwhelming in its features. Much like just about any tech these days, one really has to decide which features they really want/need, and focus on those. You can always change things around and add/change things in the future. The watch has considerable ability to tailor the “views” and the elements of each view to the personal needs. Choices are almost endless in how you can personalize your views. Many of the features that you absolutely won’t use can be discarded so they are not a distraction. Some of the features that I really like are Weather, Activity Goal, Current heart rate, Weekly stats, and Sleep monitor. Now, as far as the Sleep monitor goes, my previous slim sport watch from Fitbit, although not a competitive model to be certain, had better and easier to read and understand sleep tracking. Mainly, somehow the Fitbit watch was better able to know when I was awake, even if my arm wasn’t constantly moving, than the Polar. In the Polar User Manual it even says that it may not be accurate on awake time if your arm isn’t moving. I’m not sure how the Fitbit did it, but I know for a fact that it was quite accurate. But, the Polar is acceptable. I like the feature that allows one to connect a wireless Polar chest strap for heart rate. While it seems like the watch itself is pretty accurate, you are supposed to pull the watch up a finger’s width from your wrist bone when starting activities to get a more accurate HR. I know from experience that not doing that will definitely yield inaccurate and inconsistent HR readings. The ability to use an external HR strap is a nice-to-have feature. You can also set the watch to send HR signal to an external device, in my case, a Nordic Track rowing machine. Works quite well. The watch, set up as it comes from the factory, is quite functional and relatively easy to use, right out of the box. Several apps, like Sleep and Cardio Load status take some time to develop readings as they are dependent on aggregate info over time. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters, so it’s a true Multi-sport watch. The face, when lit up, is quite bright and clear. It’s not the brightest I’ve seen, but it is definitely adequate and is readable in bright sunlight. It has almost zero lag upon wrist tilt to light up the face. I do wish the Sleep function was a little easier to gain value from, and I’m not crazy about the band; it’s quite “fidgety” to put on, but I’m getting used to it. I understand that Polar has an older model with a band that is much more ergonomic that will fit the M3. I’ll look into that. In summary, and relative to price and purely my perspective, I give the Polar Vantage M3 four stars. I’m very happy with this watch and am proudly wearing it even though I thought I’d never replace my slim Fitbit with a full-feature Multi-Sport watch. That’s saying something. ... show more
