  • A McDonald's Promo, a Radiant Collection & other old cards too
Most of the cards were from the Sword & Shield era but I got one card from Mysterious Treasures which was released in 2007 (Diamond & Pearl era). There were a few from Sun & Moon era & a couple from XY era too. I also got a 2022 McDonald's Promo card which I was happy about. The most valuable card in the lot was a Radiant Collection card from Generations (about $3). There was a reverse holo Snorlax from 151 worth slightly less but very cute. Maybe 3 more worth over $1 and a couple just under. The rest were not worth much, some barely a few cents. Don't expect any crazy valuable cards but you will definitely get more than what you paid so I think it's a good deal. I know not everyone gets the same mix of cards but anytime I get a promo & a handful of older cards for under $10 I'm happy. I'll buy some more & see what happens. ... show more

  • Good Price, but there are Counterfeits
Where as at least 94 out of the 107 of the pokemon cards SEEM to be legit, 3 were obvious counterfeits and 10 were harder to detect. The 10 that were harder to detect had the black film between the paper (as real ones should), but it did not seem to be of as good quality because light still passed through enough to READ and see the image on the other side of the card from about 4 to 6 inches away from the light. As for the three obvious counterfeits, two I immediately noticed when I touched the cards because the texture and cut was wrong. As for the third the light shined through in speckles. I ripped the counterfeits and one real one to show the difference. I am still giving 4 stars because IF the remaining cards are actually legit and not just really good fakes, then the value of the 94 legit cards would be worth more as a total than what I paid. Also, not every seller seems to have sent me fakes. However, having to play "spot the fakes" with 107 cards was not something I wanted to have to do today. The cards DID have a good variety from different expansions and very few duplicates. They look near mint condition for the most part except the holos were curved. And this is a great starter for kids getting into Pokémon despite the fakes. My first picture shows two cards above a light with the left card (one I pulled from a sleeve elsewhere) directly over the light. The second picture is of the possible fake directly over the light. My third picture shows the speckles. And my fourth is kind of hard to tell, but the bottom card has the texture that it should have and the top is smooth and the edges were rounded towards the front when cut. Not normal at all, but my phone doesn't have the best camera. ... show more

  • This was EXACTLY what I was hoping for: all Pokemon creatures. (Maybe I got lucky?)
This was EXACTLY what I was hoping for: all Pokemon, mostly Basic with some Stage 2 and Stage 3, very few duplicates, and in good condition. My son is just getting into the Pokemon TCG, and was given an assortment of cards from a friend. Unfortunately, the friend's assortment included lots (and lots...) of Trainer cards but only a few Pokemon creature cards. The collection of cards that arrived from seller "LotsofBundles" was 100% Pokemon creature cards. The vast majority were Basic Pokemon from across all the elements. There were also some Stage 2 and Stage 3 cards, although the evolved versions didn't always have the required Basic version. (That was a known hazard of ordering a "random" assortment, but my son will want to trade for missing Basic forms. I consider it a win.) Neither my son nor I care about card rarity. He is just getting started with the game, after all! I expected an overwhelming assortment of commons with some uncommons, and that's what I got. I didn't expect any rares, but the shipment included 15 of them. This info may be important to some, but not to us. :) The cards themselves are in excellent condition; "lightly played" at worst. The collection I received included 15 duplicates out of the 100+ cards. I feel that's a pretty good ratio, especially when they are primarily doubles and one triplet. (And, also, considering the horror stories from some other reviewers receiving 8 or more copies of the same card.) The foil cards look unplayed. I don't care about foil versions personally, but I think my son will find them cool and want to play with them. The inclusion of the foil cards was a major factor in choosing this particular item listing instead of similar non-foil listings here on Amazon. The foils are in excellent condition, and look great. I would buy this item again, from the same seller ("LotsofBundles"). -- Update 2021-12-12 -- I have purchased this set 2 more times from seller "Untapped Games"; the previous seller "LotsofBundles" was not currently listing this item. The packs from "Untapped Games" contained 107 cards: 7 foils, about 70 Pokemon, a few Item/Trainer/Stadium cards, and about 16 basic energy cards. Both packs contained only 3 or 4 duplicates, which I think is excellent. The cards were from various sets. -- Update 2022-06-14 -- Purchased 2 more times from seller "Untapped Games". Pack assortment was similar to previous packs from the same seller: 7 foils, about 70 Pokemon, a few Item/Trainer/Stadium cards, and about 16 basic energy cards. Only a few duplicates across both packs. (Except for the Energy cards; each pack had almost 2 cards of each Energy type.) The cards were from various sets. All the cards were in excellent condition. (The packs had that "new card" smell!) ... show more

  • Nice Selection, Heavy on Duplicates
Cool cards and fun pack overall. The only issue was 13+ duplicates, including some triples. Good value, but more variety would make it even better.

  • 4 out of 100 duplicates.
All cards were mint to near mint cards. I only ended up with 4 duplicates out of the 100 cards which for me isn't so bad since I'll use those duplicates in deck or/and give away to children who play Pokémon at my local card game shop.
