  • Oneplus 7 Pro Case Indepth Review
Okay, starting out. The case is good quality. I wish the rim that surrounds the screen was made out of a metal or at least a higher grade industrial plastic. It's good and gets the job done, just try not to accidentally bend it because it is flimsy and could break. The rim has a mounted screen protector that goes over your phone screen. I noticed a major difference in touch response when using the built-in screen protector over another screen protector. I don't recommend doing that. The built-in screen protector can be easily removed by going through the front and popping it out the back. I ended up doing this because built-in screen protectors are a major pain in the ass. More maintenance because it is more susceptible to dust getting underneath. It functions completely normally with or without the built-in screen protector. The durability of the case is really good at this price point, featuring thick heavy duty feeling hard rubber that grips the rim firm with no worry about it coming free. As for dropping, it hasn't happened yet and I am not going to test it out. That's what youtube is for. The overall case design from what I have seen from multiple sources is proven to be good at protecting your phone. I hope to not find out how well mine works, if you see an update on this review then the drop has happened and hopefully you won't be reading bad news bears text. Next, speaking of drop. The kickstand does a good job at giving you a place to hook a finger through to further help preventing drops from happening and is also high quality feeling and clicks firmly into place and stows firmly away. Actually kind of hurts the fingertip prying the kickstand out, but after some time and use, that should be not as bad. Gives you 2 viewing angles to choose from, portrait and landscape. It has no feelings of falling over or collapsing. It's nice having a kickstand, especially one that feels durable. One last thing I should mention is the side access to the OnePlus Notification Slider is deep, so individuals with larger/wider fingertips may struggle a bit getting to the slider. Honestly with the deep space used for the rubber plug, Poetic could put a slider cover built into the case that works with the actual Notification Slider. It's really an easy implementation and I have seen it in other cases. I hope to see this feature in the future in a [2020 upgraded version] or whatever they call it. Overall I would recommend this case. It is a fair price and gives you a lot of bang for your buck. A couple of flaws, but these flaws do not deter me from using the product. ... show more

  • Highest Quality case out there for your oneplus
If you're looking for a high quality case, look no further. I should've got this case when I got my phone. Shattered back and front glass using a cheaper plastic/hard rubber case I bought off here. Almost 400 dollars for replacement glass installed by a professional. Do not compromise on a case for this phone or you will be punished for it. This offers very sturdy and secure protection, I can tell, and I know that won't happen again. Phone fits very snug. Best fit for a case I've had by far. Closest thing to an OTTER BOX that you'll find for this phone. Others were complaining about the screen protector, but I actually like it. It's not bad. Can be pushed off if you don't like it. ... show more

  • REMOVE THE INCLUDED SCREEN PROTECTOR
This case really is built tough and I love how I have some room to rest my fat hands on the device without touching the screen. As a mobile gamer, that is truly important. I would love to have a built-in magnetic backing for installation on magic mounts, but I managed to place a magnet just fine on the included kickstand. As others have said, the kick stand is situated significantly lower than most in portrait view, but I hardly use the kickstand anyways. In landscape mode, it works fine. The coverings of the ringer control and charging port are kinda tough...I mean it's nice to protect it, but when I plug in my usb charger...the port cover puts pressure on the cord and I worry if it's putting too much pressure on the cord, possibly messing up the the charging port on the phone. I still think this case is quite nice, but due to these reasons I still wonder if I want to get a different case. Highlights why I would suggest a different case 1. port cover and ringer control cover too tough to open 2. kickstand is not necessarily needed, but angled weirdly in portrait mode and albeit feels flimsy in general (rather have magnetic backing) Highlights why I WOULD suggest the case 1. even though somewhat flexible, this case feels very solid around the corners; just don't expect the screen to be protected much due to screen size 2. the spacing on the top and bottom of case gives extra protection from drops and serves as a palm rest while gaming such as pubg 3. the case fits very snug and feels very sturdy and well-made ... show more

  • Great work case
Always love my poetic cases (have owned many for several different phones). Strong and reliable for a great price. I work in the oil fields as a service employee and get about a year out of each case with heavy abuse and oil/chemical contamination (i know it doesn't seem like long but im inside equipment and frequently using my phone for component failure pictures/manager contact while doing repairs so my phone covered in all kinds of things or dropped into those fluids) so for me its a great value. ... show more

  • Good value, great protective case for the money
First off, the One Plus 7 Pro is my favorite phone of all time, however some of the features that I love about it, can create an issue for a case. The main ones being the pop up selfie camera, fingerprint reader and rounded edges. This case does a great job with all of those and gives me nice piece of mind. For normal every day drops and banging around in my briefcase, I can barely see any wear or tear on the case or screen protector (I removed the one that comes with the phone). The only issue I've come across is with a brass door opener that my company gave us for opening doors during Covid. It's on my key ring and when the phone and my keys are in the same pocket, I can see light and medium scratches on the screen protector but not on the backing piece. I tend to baby my phones and haven't dropped it from over 5 feet onto concrete or put it in any extreme circumstances, but in the normal course of a day it has its spill and falls and has come out without any damage. Overall great experience ... show more

  • It's okay if you dont mind some minor annoyances.
Sturdy case. If you are looking for a very good all around protection for your phone or if you are planning to go do some outdoor activities I highly recommend this case. My annoyances with this case is the screen case that comes with it. Yes, this case has a screen case that comes attach with the case as a whole which adds that extra protection to you phone. However the screen creates so much glare that its almost impossible to use at all outside on a sunny day. I had to constantly turn up the brightness on the phone when I am out and there are times that I couldnt even turn up the brightness because I couldn't see the screen itself!.... and its only barely usable with the brightness set to max. Another annoyances is the charging port because there is a flap that covers the port and you have to pull/lift the flap down every time you need to charge. Its not a flimsy flap either, its sturdy and if you think you can do this one hand, you're gonna be super frustrated. Imagine having to do this while driving.... Overall its really a rugged phone case that can protect your phone really well but its just not for me and my everyday usage. ... show more

  • Total Protection with Style
Overall a very powerful case with one very minor, one concerning imperfection and by no means is it unique to my specific case. Rugged, solid and durable this case easily beats out the Guardian series in the amount of abuse it can take, by replacing the shiny exterior see through screen with tough plastic that looks like it'll dent whomever is unfortunate enough to cross my path. Definitely would recommend over the other series for full body protection but the reason some stars were lost and why I'm using now a second Guardian are: The kickstand. The slide out panel exposes a noticeable opening that could allow dust/debris to enter rapidly, as well as be an ingression to water. It also takes a bit of coercion to deploy and stow, leading me to further question its durability. Given the absurdly delicate back of the 7T Pro, let alone the McLaren, had it been a solid back, I'd easily pick this up as my daily Second is the fingerprint screen. Not unique to this case, sometimes the in-built screen protector can delay/increase the failure rate of reading a fingerprint or making the sensor unable to function correctly. Not a big enough issue for me to dismiss these cases but certainly it can get to be an annoyance because even with re-registering your patterns for your fingers, it's still a high chance of fail. One other thing I forgot to mention, unless you're rocking one of the non McLaren edition phones, the back of it will be incredibly obfuscated. Overall, an incredibly good investment on s powerful phone. Do recommend. ... show more

  • Great Case for the OnePlus 7 Pro
I bought this case to replace a cheap case I had gotten when I got the OnePlus just after launch. The cheaper case did not have the front camera slot properly designed. (And Otterbox at the time did not have a case...) I have use Poetic's on previous phones, and liked them, plus it properly supported a feature I don't really care about, but want to be able to use when needed. The case has protected my phone through numerous drops, onto hard and soft surfaces, and the ONLY complaints I have are the screen protector picks up lint/oils more than the screen, and the protector for the USB port, and the ringer switch are stiff. Also the ringer switch being so small is hard to get at, at least without resorting to using tools. But the only one that is a problem is the USB port, and it is just a little hard to hit in the dark... ... show more
