Ok, so this is kinda one of those products that I think I’m very happy with but I’m not quite sure 1000%. Let me explain... First of all, the output is good... no, it’s not as fast and convenient as an electric version. But, you never know when you won’t have power available... so this is a more reliable option. I’m also happy about the stainless steel. Nice and durable. According to the manufacturer, this pump can be used on various fluids including diesel. This seems to be a product that will last you for a good long time. That said, you should be aware that much of this unit is plastic too. This is where I start scratching my head. I haven’t yet determined if the plastic is a big deal overall or not. I’m a little disappointed, but the question of the day is, should I be? So far, this pump really does seem to be one that can be relied on for a good long time. So maybe the plastic is not a big deal. Overall, this pump does not feel cheap or flimsy in any way. For now, I’ll give this 4.5 stars, which rounds up to 5. Works great, looks great... the plastic makes me wonder, but honestly, it might not be a bad thing. Buy it with confidence.

Three items that need to be improved upon: 1: The symbol for pump handle rotation is backward if you want it to pump. Create decal to illustrate correct rotation. 2: Toss the easily worn out soft wooden handle and replace it with a hard plastic handle. 3: Install lock nut to prevent bolt loosening.

This is a really good pump! I get race fuel and oil by the drum and wanted to try this out and it looks decent. I have another hand pump I use that's very heavy duty but a second means I can have a backup. This one is plastic where my other is mostly metal but it pumps just fine. It's also a heck of a lot lighter. I'll have to run it through it's paces to see how it holds up but just running a trial I can say you won't be dissappointed. Recommended!

This pump exceeded my expectations from the material it’s made of to the high end polycarbonate pieces they used. I really like that the lock collar was made of plastic because some drums have fine threads that are really tight and with steel or aluminum you risk stripping the collar or the hung threads. This is very easy to assemble right out of the box and is only 8 pieces total. It was a nice touch that they added teflon tape and a 3ft extension hose to extend the pump head. We tested the flow rate and were able to get a 5 gallon pail filled in about 2.5 minutes which isn’t bad. There was no leaks from the spout after use either, a few drops and then nothing. Cheaper ones will self prime and drip oil when not in use because of the self priming feature but this had no issues and I was pumping 15W40 CK4 HDEO oil which is a high viscosity diesel lubricant. If you need an affordable solution for pumping oil then this is a perfect option for your shop. I didn’t try it with fuel but I’m sure this could handle other liquids no problem. I’m really impressed with the quality and the look of this pump and I’m proud to have it in my shop. Now I just need 5 more for my other oil types.

Dropping from 4 stars to 1 star. Very minimal use maybe pumped about 30 gallons total over the course of 3 months. Now leaks out of the center of the pump where the crank is. seals have already gone bad and would not recommend. Most of these are made of metal. This one is made of plastic, but don't let that fool you. Others need to be lubricated with some sort of oil. Therefore cannot pump water. This is all composite so can pump water. This is exactly what i got this for. Construction seems decent. The tubes are metal which I am not sure if they are stainless or just mild steel. If they are not stainless they will most likely rust, the teflon tape they provide is very poor quality like most sets. The body is made of plastic and the impellers i believe are as well. There is quite a bit of resistance to turn it and you can hear the plastic against itself. I am unsure of how long this will last but time will tell. it does pump pretty quick for a hand pump! So far so good. The flexible tube they give you is also really poor quality. Aside from that so far its pretty decent. I will update if something changes

Ok, I may not be giving this a fair shake with my three stars, but that is because from my experience I do not believe the polymer housing and pump will hold up to the weather and Florida sun. I mean I have steel and aluminum versions of these kinds of pumps and they weather poorly even with covers on them. Function, well so far it seems to suck up the diesel with no issues, and it is not too difficult to turn the pump, feels like more friction than a cheaper aluminum pump version I still have but it is working, and I only need 3 - 7 gallons at a time so the 13gpm this pump can allegedly do with a body builder on the crank seems like it might be overkill for me. If this was just going to be in the back of the barn, shaded from elements and light, sure it might last the 50000 cranks it is rated for. Also when did we start getting MTBF on hand pumps. Off track, sorry. So this on the tank in the back of my gator exposed to the elements and potentially being hit by other items may not be the pump for me. I think it should be a nice metal housing and the stainless suction tube personally if I am expecting longevity out of it. Not polymer. Feels like it was almost 3d printed.
