Great net for fishing from a pontoon boat where big fish tend to go underneath when too close and get tangled up. The telescoping handle solves the problem. Also, a large net stresses the fish less and allows them to recover prior to release. The photo shows a 26" Rainbow quickly landed and with room to recover. Good if you're in a canoe or a kayak. But even then, the handle is a little short. You need the fish right up next to you to scoop it in. I did like that. It had a deeper pocket and that's why I bought it. And I had a piece of aluminum pipe that I added to it and made it a few feet longer. It is type of plastic around the net. But it seems sturdy enough. Where the handle snaps in: folding out the net needs a little push on the belt holder part that locks in the net to handle so that it gets a tight lock in place. It could have been a bit stronger for locking mechanism. But will get the job done in the meantime. ... show more

The net tends to catch on the ground when navigating steep trails down to the river when using the belt hook. The net itself is just the right size for the rivers in the area. Handle is shorter than some may be used to, but feels sturdy. Easy to deploy upon arrival to destination and easy to fold up when moving on. The net itself appears somewhat thin, but time will be the judge. The rivers are somewhat brushy here so being hard on equipment comes natural if not unavoidable. No regrets buying this net. I love this net. Folds in half and has a belt clip. I wear it on my belt when I bank fish. It has captured over 30 trout so far, only issue is small treble hooks, when caught in net, are extremely hard to remove. About 10% of the time I end up cutting the treble hooks in pieces with pliers to free the fish. Single and large trebles dont tangle as easy and are quickly removed. The sturdiness of this net is OK if used as intended. The netting is very strong, it will outlast the hoop and handle. The folding hinge of the handle WILL break if abused. Do not let children or most young adults play with it. They will break it. Its not a butterfly net or a butt spanker. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Can't afford those $80 - $100+ extendable fishing nets? Well, Plusino has done of very nice job of combining performance and value. I purchased the 19.7"/50cm Hoop Size length 1.5M Yellow version as I needed an expandable and foldable fish net for my pontoon boat. For under $35, this net checks all the boxes. Keep in mind, that for $35 you're not going to get a carbon fiber handle or carbon fiber latches or locks. But for only $35 you do get rubber netting, foldable net, expandable length and a floating fish net that gets the job done very well if you are fishing primarily for sub 10lb fish. If you are fishing for 60lb blue cats, look somewhere else and plan on spending a lot more. My wife had no problem reeling in and scooping up a very nice bluegill. For a big net, it is very light weight and decently enough balanced. The hook came out while she was netting her bluegill and getting the loose hook out of the rubber netting was a breeze. Moments later, I scooped up a 3lb bass with ease. Again, for $35, you just can't go wrong with Plussino's net. High recommend. ... show more

It is a well-made and very functional product with the exception of the clasp that is supposed to attach to your belt. It kept popping off my belt when I walked through waist high brush on a path. On my last day Of fishing it popped off and I lost it permanently.
