I purchased the Goodpick Small Woven Basket for $8.99 as an affordable container to store my woold fryer balls when they are not in use. I chose the natural jute with the black trim design, which looks as pictured and matches my expectations, although I would have preferred an all-natural option. There are nine color options available, so there's some flexibility to suit different preferences. The size is just right-12x8x5 inches- and the compact oval shape fits nicely on my dryer without taking up too much space. It comfortably holds my six wool dryer balls with plenty of room for up to six more. While the basket is primarily stationary in my laundry area, it seems versatile enough for decorative storage purposes, like holding small towels, toiletries, baby diapers, or toys. The material is fairly soft for jute, though it has an "itchy" texture, which makes me wonder if constant movement might scratch or damage furniture surfaces over time. The basket feels sturdy and well-made for light storage, but I wouldn't rely on it for carrying heavy items or frequent use. From my experience with similar products, repeated or heavy use can cause woven baskets to lose their firmness, though the smaller size might be more resilient. It is lightweight and has two small handles, making it easy to move when needed. The packaging was neat, arriving in a small box with the basket folded to save space. While this resulted in creases and folds, the description provided instructions for restoring its shape. I just used my hands to open and reshape the basket, and though it's not perfect yet, I expect it will naturally settle over time with regular use. One notable feature is the ability to clean the basket by handwashing or machine washing (with a dryer bag), which adds to its convenience. The jute material does have a natural smell, as expected with this type of material, though it wasn't as strong as other similar materials that I have encountered. Well... it was a bit smaller than expected. That is my fault though as I didn't really measure. It isn't very deep either so I wouldn't reccomend getting it for a gift basket. However, the quality is very nice! There weren't any frays or anything around the basket as well. Solid handles as well. Another downside is the packaging. It came all folded up and it took a bit to take shape. That also made it look pretty cheap and looks like I just got it from the thrift store or something. So, for the price it's pretty good, but overall, definetly don't get it in hopes of putting gifts in it! ... show more

    • Small, not round, might not sit flat without some work

No matter what I did, I couldn't get this to sit flat. It's also not round, it's very oval shaped (like a football) and quite small. I was going to use this for a large prize gift basket and decided against it. It's maybe 8 inches long by 5 inches wide or so. It was inexpensive, so I think we already donated it to goodwill before I could get a picture. The fabric/quality and color are all good, so if you need a small basket with tiny handles, it might fit the bill. It MIGHT have even sat flat if I got it wet and formed it to my needs. I'm not sure and I didn't have time to mess with it. ... show more

I bought this to use as a gift basket as I think something that is actually aesthetic and reusable is more eco friendly and useful than a plastic one. These types of baskets are very versatile so it acts as part of the gift. Product came neatly tied in a bundle and taped up in plastic. After a few shakes it expanded to a neat appearance (I love the two tones grey and white design) , lightweight but sturdy, & good size. All in all I think this is a great value compared to other brands and I will be buying again for future gift baskets. ... show more
