This remote control thing is still be to me. I can sync the remote separately to each lamp if the lamp is on the on position. I can change the color tone from natural white to yellow and make them dimmer and brighter. This is all cool and all, but if you lose the remote, your kinda stuck with whatever setting. Got this so I could help my newborn at night without leaving the lights on and bothering anyone who is asleep. I really like the his/hers lamp set up, would be cooler if there were 2 remotes and a way to adjust settings without the remote, in case it ever broke or got lost. ... show more

This product was easy to put together and easy to install. It comes with clips to help keep the cord neatly against the wall. All the hardware to install the product come with the light, so that is nice. I dislike the fact that in order to use the full functionality of the light, that I need to use the remote, that is kinda annoying and combersome to have to use the remote to get to the desired setting on the light. We bought these to replace the bedside lights in our bedroom. I wanted something I could plug in rather than hard wire. My wife chose the linen lamp shades. Attaching these to the wall was pretty easy. Each lamp has its own on/off switch in the cord. There is also a remote (batteries included) with multiple functions. The remote needs to be paired with the lights in order to complete the setup. The remote controls both lights at the same time although you do have the option to set the remote to turn each light on and off individually. The remote will turn the lights on and off, gradually change the color temperature, gradually increase or decrease the brightness, set a 30 minute timer and dim the lights to a night light mode. Tip - you have to turn the lights on at the switch before the remote will work and then you can control everything with the remote. I was concerned that the remote might not be able to control both lights since the lights are a little behind our headboard but I found that the remote will control the lights no matter where it is aimed in the room. I was curious to see if everything would still work if I put in a different LED bulb. What I discovered is that the light will turn on and off but all of the real features are specific to these bulbs. The directions specify that you can contact the manufacturer if you need more bulbs or another remote. If you don't want to bother with the remote you can cycle through multiple temperature gradients and brightness levels just by using the on/off switch in the cord, but the remote gives you more options and more control. The remote and the light fixtures seem inexpensively made but the shades look really nice and when you consider the technology involved I think these lights are well worth the money. ... show more

This is going to be a long review but these are truly great lamps at a great price with useful features. Assembly is the same as any other lamp you would buy, you put the shade on by screwing in a plastic ring to the socket the bulb goes in. You have the option of either hard wiring this to your pre existing junction box in your wall or you can simply plug it in and start enjoying it immediately and this is what I chose. All Hardware needed was provided from anchors to screws to machine screws if you choose to hard wire. When you open the box you’ll see a remote that reminded me of the size of a fire stick remote without the weight of it. I thought it was silly at first but when I realized you pair the lights with this remote and then you can choose to set a timer, control the power and “temperature” of the lighting with the remote. You can make them do the same thing or you can control them independently. If you happen to lose the remote you can still simply operate these lights by toggle switch built into the power cord. I really think this is a very good looking light to use just about anywhere you need the choice of a light bright enough to read by or just enough to use the bathroom with in the middle of the night, Livingroom, bedroom, bathroom, it’s sure to look good no matter where you decide to install it. ... show more

These sconces are so light..i actually hung them with Velcro rated for 11lbs, these maybe weigh a half pound..but i wasn't certain exactly where i wanted them and didn't want to put holes in the wall. Actually it Worked great! The cord doesn't lay quite flat yet.. maybe overtime it will? I like that they are dimmable and you can change the color temperature with the remote. I would recommend.
