We had our prior detector for over 20 years, and decided it was time for a replacement. Ordered two others and was not happy with how they either too, up too much outlet space (so there's no room to plug anything else in) or that they didn't have batter back-up. I purchased this item when I found out there actually was a gas leak monitor never in My 60 years did I realized there was one until an incident happened and I ask how did they know only to hear the monitor went off I immediately went over to Amazon and typed it in search bar 😳and saw it came up
