This is one of my weirder purchases but I wanted to get something comfy and supportive for my kids calming corner. She loves dogs and cats so when I came found out that this product even existed was already sold on it! However I wanted to know if buying a knock of would be just as good so I bought a Plufl and a knock off to compare and now I get to share that information with you. First thing I noticed right away was that the Plufl was definitely made with more quality materials. The Plufl provided quite a bit more support than the knock off too because the plufl comes with an orthopedic and memory foam mat while the knock off just came with an egg crate foam. The Plufl was EXTREMELY soft, the other was soft but the Plufl was just on another level of softness and coziness. The bolsters on the Plufl are huge in comparison. I will say that the Plufl size seems smaller and I wish it was a little longer but you just kind of have to put your knees up and cuddle up to the bolster and you're comfy. I do wish the plufl would come with a nice little cozy blanket just like the other one did but I just use my own blanket. Overall, based on everything we ended up keeping the Plufl because we felt like it will last us the longest because of it's better quality of materials they used. I think we may have to purchase some more though because we are fighting over who gets to lay in it when we watch movies together.

Just got my SECOND Plufl Human Dog bed because the first one was such a big hit in my house that I needed to get two just to keep everyone happy. I wanted to share some of my favorite things about the Plufl and why I think it is worth the price, especially compared to some of the cheaper items available. A few of my friends have bought knockoffs so I have been able to compare with theirs and after experiencing mine, most of them regret their purchase. The base: Most of the cheaper version use a piece of foam that is so flimsy and cheap that I can basically feel the floor. The Plufl mattress almost is as supportive as my bed which is great for when multiple people are using it and doesn’t make me feel achy. Fur: The Plufl fur is the SOFTEST thing ever. Literally. It is so soft haha. I could lay it in at all day and never overheat or feel stuffy like a lot of faux furs out there. Border: The border of the Plufl is by far my favorite part. It is so big and soft that I literally feel like I am in a cocoon when I am sleeping. A lot of other ones the bolster is pretty flimsy or just made with scrap foam while the Plufl is literally HUGE pillows which I am in love with.

To say we love our Plufl is an understatement. It's the comfiest way to nap (of course) and just hang out and relax. The cushion is more like a luxury mattress than a napping spot (check out the video) and the fabric is one of the softest I've ever felt. This alone is worth the price tag if you ask me. My wife and I used to look at our small dog all snuggled up in his bed and wonder what it was like to be that comfy. Well... the Plufl delivers. Bonus is that my wife is pregnant and for her, it's a great spot to lay down with the support on her back. When our dog jumps in to snuggle, that makes it even better. If you're looking for a nice spot to disconnect and relax, the Plufl is that. For anyone concerned about space, the fold-up design is pretty great. I wouldn't call it small but it's easy enough to stick in a closet or behind a couch to store if you don't want to leave it out all the time.

I bought this for my son because he is most comfortable in blanket nests instead of a traditional mattress. He loves this bed. He gets his stuffed animals and a few blankets in it and then he's out for the night. He hasn't snuck into my bed in the middle of the night since we bought this. It feels pretty durable, it was easy to put together with two people. Alone may have been challenging because it's so large. I think it has good thickness/support for the average person. I have some back issues so I didn't find it comfortable but I'm not really the target audience. It's very soft. The zipper felt pretty sturdy as well.

The quality is superb - everything from the material, to the stuffing, the stitching, the zipper, etc.! It is easy to assemble and super soft and comfy, yet supportive enough to really provide that extra comfort. An added bonus is the customer service these guys provide is far better than any other! They really care about their product & customers. I think my 6lb. Chihuahua is enjoying it the most as he feels like a King in this super comfy bed! It may seem like a lot of money, but for the quality of the product, customer service & ability to throw the cover in the wash, I think it’s well worth it!

In August 2024, I ordered one of these (in "Black") and was very happy with it. The bed was large and well-stuffed. The outer ring pillows sat on the foam base very well. The foam base occupied the entirety of the bottom surface with rubber nubs. I was super happy with the product. If anything, assembly was a bit difficult because of how well-stuffed the outer ring segment pillows were, but the result was well worth it. The product was clearly high quality, and washing it the once or twice I have had to went rather well. I am not reviewing that Plufl. Instead, I am reviewing the one I just bought (November 2025) in view of my prior experience. I just had a party, where people were a fan of the August 2024 Plufl; the only complaint was that there was only one of them. Eager to fix this deficiency, I ordered another one, as I was was impressed with the product and enjoyed it myself, seeing no reason to go with a competitor's product or a knock-off.. And then the November 2025 Plufl (in "Arctic Grey") arrived. This one was a bit easier to assemble, which was my first clue that there was a design change. Specifically outer ring segment pillows went in a lot easier; this was because they were less well-stuffed. And then I noticed that the foam base went in differently and was smaller. The foam base does not occupy the entirety of the bottom surface with rubber nubs. The outer ring pillows do not site on the foam base; instead, they sit on the floor, occupying the outer ring portion of the bottom surface with the rubber nubs. This means that the edges of the outer ring are shorter from the outside and the inside. There is also a somewhat concerning gap (that feels like it could be a weak point). If I had to guess, these changes came as part of a cost-cutting measure. The only "advantage" (from a customer perspective) of them having made the product worse is that the product is slightly easier to assemble. If you look at the pictures I have attached, you can clearly see the difference. The darker one (August 2024) has had to be washed and has had time to be crushed and theoretically. And yet it is still larger and more well-stuffed than the newer, lighter one (November 2025). Much of the poor rating I give this has to do with the disparity between my expectations (set by the August 2024 Plufl) and the reality of the November 2025 Plufl. I know what this company was capable of: a quality product that was likely a large part of its success and why Plufl could charge a premium over competitors / knock-offs. Unfortunately, it looks like Plufl decided to cash in their reputation to make a quick buck. If I need another, I will be going with a competitor. It is really funny looking at the comparison image that Plufl put up as the fifth image on here, as it feels like they decided to switch to do what "others" are doing.

My dog(s) and I love the Plufl! Both are aussies (~50lbs) and one and me (5'10) can fit comfortably in it laying down. The cover is incredibly soft and comfortable and the rubber grip material on the bottom makes sure it doesn't slide around. I do wish the bolsters would be tighter inside because they tend to kind of slide off the base where you or the dogs rest their head and I wish the bolsters were also a little bit firmer, but all in all a wonderful way to spend some time lounging with your best friend!
