This was a perfect gift for anyone 4-12. It is not super fast but has enough excitement to keep them entertained. Durable enough to run inside and outside, but it did struggle in some softer surfaces outside like sand and dirt.

My grandsons are at my house all the time (ages 7 and 10). I like to have various things here for them to do other than going on electronics. So I ordered this RC car for them. They love it. The mist from the exhaust was a pleasant surprise for them. I like the rechargeable battery as it saves money. It lasts between 35 and 40 minutes without needing to be recharged. My 19 year old grandson even enjoys driving it around my kitchen and annoying me with it. LOL

Obviously, this is not a super high end radio controlled car, but for most kids, for their first RC car, this would be good. First off, you do need 2 AA batteries for the remote, but I was happy to see that they included a small screwdriver to take off the battery compartment cover. Those can be a pain. The battery for the car itself is a rechargeable battery that you recharge via USB, which everybody probably has. I tried it out a bit before I give this as a gift. I found it very responsible, and maybe a tad difficult to control- but then again I am an old guy and I would think any young person has 100X the dexterity level and feel for these things than I do. Remote can activate lights and doors, all pretty cool stuff. For a first radio controlled car, pretty good. Longevity? Time will tell, and I will update the review if it dies prematurely. But hopefully not.

This car is remotely controlled so not wired, it works really well. This car also has a smoke feature where you add a small amount of water from a supplied bottle for it to appear to burn rubber. It is as durable as I expect for an onroad car as well.

The media could not be loaded. This little car is pretty cool. Honestly, it's way better than expected. This little hot rod makes realistic engine noises, has operating Lamborghini doors, great detail and lines, operating lights that can be turned off or on, and is seriously fun to play with. It's also zippy! It goes faster than most standard store bought RC cars. My teenage son hasn't stopped playing with it! It does feel a bit fragile, so I wouldn't suggest tough play. Other than that, great find!

The media could not be loaded. This is a cool remote car. It makes motor sounds as it starts up. The doors open electronically (see video). There are various colored LED lights running down its top. It also has an LED super rocket engine which lights up on its rear bumper. It has a decent play time and came charged which was awesome. Open and you're ready to go. The only negative thing is you have to use this on a hard flat surface. It got stuck easy trying to drive over things like an extension cord or medium sticks.
