Bought this for my boys, and they absolutely love it. We got the playmobil castle for them for Christmas, so this is a great way to count down and build excitement for what is coming. And give a few extra pieces for the castle, like the dragon and wolf. The outside sleeve does show what is behind each of the windows, so good to remove before giving to keep the surprise. But also as a parent I appreciated knowing what was coming each day. I also think they did a really good job of spreading out the pieces. The balance between the bigger more exciting figures and the smaller accessories, and having the accessory pieces tie directly in to something received the previous day. This Playmobil advent calendar is cute and well done, and my kids had lots of fun with it this year! It’s a Toy Shop theme complete with a visit from Santa section. It contains 24 boxes to open, each containing a plastic bag with a few new Playmobil pieces or a figure. Also included is a cardboard scene to display the entire set. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because some boxes included tiny stickers to be very carefully placed on tiny items... tedious and a bit annoying. Also, be aware this set comes with many teeny tiny pieces. I expected small pieces, but wow some were very tiny! ... show more

This may be good for older children, not great for younger at all. There were tons of tiny pieces. Everything had to be put together and there were little stickers. There are tiny purses that I pictured with rubber straps on them that pop out constantly it's irritating. My daughter can't play with it without stuff falling apart. The concept and look is fun and neat, just wish pieces weren't so tiny and it was made better. ... show more
