Finally found one I can use! Most tattoo ointments have either coconut or lavender or both. This one feels very soothing and smells great if you like rose scent. There's an unscented version if you don't. I haven't tried it during a tattoo session yet but will update when I do. Seems a bit pricey but it's not really. Considering the teeny tiny amount you need to cover even a large area, it should last a very long time. Mine was very grainy when I opened it, which I expected from some of the other reviews. Not at all pleasant to rub over skin that was in any way irritated. It was an easy fix though (see pics). I put the jar above some barely steaming water and stirred frequently until it was completely melted. Then set it to cool while still giving it a stir every little while. Fully cooled it was the perfect consistency. 5 stars. Love it :) Will buy again when my jar finally runs out. ... show more

I’ve used this for years and love it. It sometimes melts in transit and gets gritty but it is very moisturizing and smells great. Makes my tattoos look great as well. Never had an issue with it except it’s slightly greasy and that can get messy especially on an arm tattoo.

So I bought this on the recommendation of my son, who has many many beautiful tattoos. I have a new tattoo. It goes on kind of in a melting fashion and brings your tattoo to life. Mine is a watercolor tattoo of flowers. Yes, there is a scent of roses when you put it on but that fades after a short time so don’t let that keep you from purchasing it. I am 77 and my skin, especially my legs, is/are extremely dry so I use it there too. Here is the crazy thing....I have a growth on either side of my nose. I have been putting this product on the growths twice a day and they are shrinking. Trying it on a growth on my chest and a brown patch on my face, same thing. I think it is actually the rose oil in here. Just purchased my second jar, and by the way, it lasts forever. Loving this, give it a try. ... show more

I have ordered the unscented 3 times, returned twice because I received the scented. Planning on returning the third time. I have used both and preferred the unscented. Don't like to smell like a floral arrangement. Would recommend the product.

This product is awesome. Only been using it a few days, but I absolutely adore it. First of all, the smell is great. Also, a little goes a long way. I like this size container (I knew it'd be small) because it's perfect for the size of my new tattoo. I got my tattoo on Thursday... And here we are on Saturday looking good and feeling good. I plan on buying a bigger container when I get my half sleeve done. Also... It says you can use this product to moisturize as well as for small scratches and cuts... So added bonus. ... show more

I had a smaller version of this product years ago and loved it. I needed more for my new tattoos. But when I opened the package, removed the "jar" from the box and opened the lid, the security seal had already been broken. So is it safe to use?
