I needed something to cover my succulents to protect from too much rain. I liked this tent because of the size and that there is no bottom. I could just put the tent over the plants. There is also small metal stakes to hold down the corners. There were several big rainstorms that left about half a gallon of water on the top. The tent top did sag under the weight of the water but I tip the tent over to pour out the water.

The size is absolutely perfect. However, when i tried to put the metal pins through the loops, the loops tore away from the plastic. The next day, I found it about 100 yards away from the plant (from 20mph winds). I even put wet towels on it to weight it down but because of its size, when air gets into it, it is like a balloon. The seller and Amazon took it back with no problem. Customer service was excellent. This sizing has potential but I jsut could not figure how to make it stable. FOLLOWUP: I bought half size bricks from hardware store and put a few on top and a few on the sides, it was enough to stabilize it from blowing away. This is an economical way to make it work. I started using this technique on my other similar covers.

It’s easy to set up and take down, making it a great option for a short-term greenhouse. For my setup, I have the base of the plant wrapped in a "Seedling Heat Mat" (black with green text). This keeps the base of the plant about 10 degrees warmer, though it doesn’t help the rest of the plant. Once I added this cover, the leaf area warmed up to roughly the same temperature — an additional 10 degrees. I have this on my carport, so if you experience any wind you’ll need to find a way to secure it. I’ve used two 2x4s clamped to the bottom edge for weight, which keeps it from flying away.
