Good quality and packaged really well. Also shipped super fast, just disappointed that it isn’t even wood, its just like a cheap plastic paneling that has a fake wood grain pattern. Not really worth the full $30, maybe only $15-20, but couldn’t find any other frames this size from other sellers.

    • Very nice frame but may need to have some know-how to hang it

First, may I say that if you are looking for an 18x18 floating frame, it is my opinion that you will be hard-pressed to find one as that is not a common size. At least that was my experience. I finally found this one and gave it a try. It is a well-made frame constructed of some type of composite that looks really nice. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the fact that hanging it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be. First, may I say that I have plenty of experience with home projects more difficult than hanging a picture so it's not that I don't know what to do with tools. It comes with hardware but without instructions. It's just not "intuitive" and I think it may be a bit difficult for some folks to do. I wound up not using the hardware that was provided, at least the portion that was intended to attach the wrapped canvas to the frame. Instead, I drilled a pilot hole (I think this would be important to do so that you do not split the frame) and then used a 7/8 inch screw - a wood screw is preferable - to drill through the frame and into the brackets of the wrapped canvas. Please note that a 3/4 inch screw will not be long enough to go through the frame and catch hold and a 1 inch screw, I thought, may possibly go through to the front of the frame. I would stick with the 7/8". I think anyone can use the string and screws provided for the hanging mechanism although I didn't use that either as I had some very nice "alligator" hangers that worked just fine. That is the only drawback I can see. The frame looks very nice now that it's up. I should also mention that it was packed so well that it looked professionally done. UPDATE: Added 1 star after I got a replacement. They made good but it was still a hassle as I had to return the original to UPS and wait for shipping, which takes a while. ——— ORIGINAL: Received 1 of 2 frames in my order on Friday. Perfect! Super happy. Received second frame today, Monday and NONE of the corners are connected and one corner is broken. I have to send it back. I already hung the first one and need the second to hang. I pulled out my electric screwdriver to put in the screws and realized they used a VERY small hex key to put them in which was NOT included with the findings to frame the canvas. Thank goodness I had one or I would not have been able to mount this frame today to go to an art gallery. It does look beautiful ... show more

My granddaughter did a painting for me of a sea turtle and I wanted to hang it in the breakfast nook. It was on a 12x12 canvas and this frame sets it off nicely. I have to say that the instructions were not entirely clear (hence the 4 stars versus 5) and I had to use a hand drill to make the holes to attach the hooks where the string (not wire) gets tied off. Other than that, the materials needed were all included with the package. Not very intuitive but easy enough to figure out. I think the turtle looks happy, don't you? ... show more

Nice frame and well packed. But hardware to assemble painting onto frame is not good. I honestly threw the hardware out and used double sided tape to keep frame in place to painting. Double sided tape worked well but you will need to buy it. That is why I gave it 4 stars.
