These were a perfect replacement for the missing and broken front engine cowl retaining pins on my 2015 Toyota 4Runner. They appear to be a different material than the OEM fasteners so it will be interesting to see how they stand up after a few months of heat cycling but they hold firmly and I'm happy with the purchase so far. ... show more

My son is home from college for the Summer so we're doing some maintenance to his 2001 Toyota 4Runner. He goes to school in the mountains of NC, so lots of snow in the winter which leads to lots of rust. The back bumper was just about gone. We took it off & by taking our time we were able to get the new one back on. It's almost impossible to tell the new one from the original. The retainer clips were exactly what we needed to re-attach the old ones that mostly broke off when we removed them since they're 22 years old. These work perfectly in my 2010 Lexus ES350. They have a tendency to break when you take them out, but they are cheap enough to replace with new ones. And you would infrequently need to remove them.
