We're an artistic family, and rather than have to fight for the "last canvas" we've found it's just better to keep a STOCK of these on hand so when 'those ideas" come up, there's always a supply of willing canvases to take on the idea and turn it into reality. We use these for a variety of media, from pencil to pastel to watercolor and oil... They're probably of course best for oil and acrylic, but no matter... we use them for whatever we want. Artist's prerogative! : ) We like to have spare small canvases available when teen friends are around and looking to get creative... keeps the kids out of trouble to have a way to bond over creating art. And some of what they come up with is just EXQUISITE and totally UNIQUE! I just love seeing it evolve. Wonderful supply of 48 more canvas drawing boards. Perfect!

The price is great…12 panels for $11.95. They came all individually packaged in plastic. I bought them as practice so I’m not too bothered by the two complaints I have. AGAIN, these are not a huge deal. First, the boards are slightly curved. I couldn’t get a good picture of the curve but the edges just slightly curve up. I’m a fairly new painter and I’ve had some canvas fight a little but these seemed to fight a lot. I was seeing a ton of holes even when using enough paint. I did 2 paintings and it was really bugging me so I put gesso on a few and that helped. After multiple coats you can’t tell unless you are up close and really looking for them. Plus I did a gloss spray varnish so that hid it too. For practice purposes I would buy these again. For kids, beginners or practice they are a great buy and very good quality for those purposes. I hope this helps.
