  • Very effective tool
First of all, thanks to those who responded to my question about instructions. No, it does not come with any but it is a simple tool to use. I thought it was well made and handled the job very nicely. The depth change knob for the teeth seemed easy to turn and I liked the amount of in and out play I got by turning it. Given that I'm 78 going on 79 I found that buying some $10 knee pads really helped protect my knees so that I could kick at it with gusto and get a good stretch on it. This was my first experience carpeting stairs, which had a 90 degree turn 2/3 the way up. Given that the boss (wife, of course) was pleased with the results I would say that it was a good investment. All told, spent about $150 in tools and carpet stapler rental, but avoided the $500 the carpet place wanted for installation. So $350 ahead of the game and have the tools besides, ready for the next job. ... show more

  • Could use a little more pad for the knee
Great price but it needs a little more pad to cushion the knee

  • Very Good Knee Kicker
I rented one of these Knee Kickers the first time I needed one and got a rental that was far less than optimal condition. I decided to check on the price of a new one if there was next time. There was a next time and the price of this one is a little more than two rentals so it was a no-brainer. This product is twice the quality of the one I rented and far more useable. I conclude it would have been smarter to buy on the first time. Better late than never to get smart, so I am extremely happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Low price good value
I ordered this tool to repair and replace carpeting in my rental properties, being familiar with cheesy tools from china I was leary of the low price, but thought I would give it a try. The tool is much better than expected, and worked flawlessly. The adjustable carpet gripper and tool length are useful features and the knee pad has absorbed many hard kicks without hurting my knee. I will add this to my very short list of products that exceeded my expectations. ... show more

  • works good for one room use
product arrived on time. 1 row of the carpet gripper spikes broke after 20 kicks, but still worked to finish the job. works good for one room use, but if I was gonna do more than one room, id buy a kicker of better quality.

  • carpet knee kick
No surprises here, works as it should, good price. Made my knee hurt. Used the knee kick to help finish off the job. Also works great to move loose carpet into place but no substitute for a power stretcher. Yes, people that know what they are doing may be able to do a good job with just the kicker, but, hey, I'm just a do it yourself guy and the power stretcher is just so much easier to use, especially on bigger jobs. ... show more

  • Do not waste your money on this product
Not durable at all. Spikes broke after a few kicks. Was only able to get some of the carpet installed. Had to go buy another that was more durable. Do not waste your money on this product.

  • This carpet kicker works fine
This was the first time that I had done any carpet work (I had to cut carpeting and padding, install new tack strips, and re-stretch the carpet around the new walls and doorways). I was pleased with this kicker - as long as you knew where to place it relative to the tack strips, the direction to kick in , and the force that you needed (using a carpet kicker can require brute force), it does the job quit well. ... show more
