  • Best case for raspberry pi 5
If you’re looking for a case for a raspberry pi, this is the BEST. Great quality that looks fantastic! Super cooling, ability to run 2ea NvMe SSD drives (or one drive and an AI hat), sleek dark case - you won’t find better. It is a bit pricey compared to other options, but the quality and features are well worth the cost. The stuff I’m not crazy about? The case requires complete assembly, including ribbon cables and tiny screws. I have big hands so the assembly process was somewhat daunting and took a long time. It comes with pictorial instructions, but I found following a detailed YouTube to better. I wound have preferred more assembly completed by the manufacturer and links for several clear “follow along” videos to aid in assembly. The case is great, and by far the best you can have for a raspberry pi 5. ... show more

  • Good case
This is literally a box of parts, but thankfully the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Software is easy to install. Having full size HDMI ports is a plus. Cooling fans are pretty noisy, so set the software controls so they only come on when the performance suffers. In the next iteration it would be nice if the case screws were countersunk; it would improve the fit/appearance. ... show more

  • So easy an 8th grade student can build.
While a bit on the pricey side for a Pi case, this was the best option for a mini computer build for my 8th grade daughter who is taking a computer science course at school. Assembly was straight forward and she was able to complete it herself with only a little verbal guidance from me. She is new to computing and so we walked through the terminal commands to set cooling temperature for the fans and rgb led colors the way she wanted. Overall I believe this case and RaspberryPi 5 combo will last her quite some time. Plus it looks awesome! ... show more

  • Good case, but need small hands to put it together.
I must say, that now that I have gotten it all together and connected, I am quite pleased with the case and it certainly looks impressive. A word of warning, if you have big fingers, you might have a little difficulty. It took me a little over 3 hours to complete the construction of the case. The enclosed instructions are meh and sometimes difficult to read and interpret. They provide a link on the instruction page to an online manual but that link was 404 at rtfd.io. Instead, I was able to go to Pironman site and find a good video (you have to start and stop several times in the process) and was able to use that to assemble the case. This is the only reason I give it 4 stars. It would be a good thing if you watched the video all the way through (DOH! which I did not) to get an idea of what you'll be doing. At one point near the end of the process, you are suppose to attach one of the boards and, oddly, the screen holes were covered in some type of plastic so you will have to remove those. There are other places in the cases where there are plug covers, so pay attention to those. Also, the ribbon strips connects have little clasps that you have to open to install the ribbon, so watch for those as well. At the moment, the cooling fans aren't working so I will have to go back in and figure out what is wrong with those. Also, the blue color doesn't seem to work either, so that's another thing I have to check again. IMHO, there are too many screws required to assemble the case externally. It would be nice if it could be a little more modular in that sense, especially since I have to take it apart to fix things. The Pi booted up as expected so every thing in that sense went well. I find it to be a pretty good value for the money and am pleased with the purchase. ... show more

  • My favorite mini-PC case for the RPi 5
I bought this after buying and assembling an Elecrow mini-PC case. This one has a better install guide plus all the PCB baggies have stickers on them explaining how their latching connectors work. That stymied me on the Elecrow case and I had to tear it all down and start all over when it didn't work because I didn't understand how the latching connectors locked and unlocked. Doh! This case ISN'T EVEN CLOSE to being as fiddly with tiny ribbon cables as the Elecrow. Besides that, I really love this case and I think it edges out the Elecrow mini-PC case. Even though this one does cost more, it's worth the extra expense in the long run IMHO. The fans and their RGBs are controllable, it supports dual SSDs, the OLED display is better, the software is easier to install, the case is easier to assemble, and it has a web based interface for stats and settings. ... show more

  • Great case for your RPi
Super cool case for my Raspberry Pi 5. Easy to assemble. Printed instructions are a little less than desired but they also provide a video showing assembly. Using the the two together made it pretty easy. Had it all assembled in less than an hour. The OLED display is neat, but not all that useful unless this thing is sitting on your desk right in front of you. I'm running Home Assistant OS and their add-on also made it easy to configure. Two thumbs up, would buy again. ... show more
