The item itself does the job. Not hard to install, but I've installed probably 6 of these type of walls mounts now. I use lag bolts into two 2x4s into the wall studs. Then mount the TV mounts to the 2x4s, makes an extremely strong mount. This style mount does work well, but only if you need a heavy TV mounted. I much prefer the type that has the scissor X extension that comes out like 16" and the TV mounts onto the two bars on the extension. And allows it to swivel further. This mount works, but for the money it could be better. Unless your TV weights over 60 lbs... ... show more

    • A complete and well-designed large screen wall mounting system.
I had a smaller capacity TV wall mount unit similar to this new Pipishell Advanced Tilt Mount. I needed to upgrade for the larger TV purchased over Christmas. I realized I desired the option to tilt the screen for optimal viewing, since the old mount couldn't. I also did not like how the old one required long Philips screwdriver to access the security-safety bolts in order to mount and remove the TV from the wall. The addition of lock release pull tabs for the Pipishell mount made moving the TV and aligning it less of a task. Each person reaches down and pull and the TV releases and it can be lifted off. Simple! All the materials are high quality, fit and finish very good. And all necessary hardware to hang the mount is included. Everything is provided to install the mount properly, even a small carpenter's level. You just need your drill and drivers. Just locate the studs in the wall, secure to them and then bolt the VESA mounting arms to the TV. And you are ready to hang your big TV securely. The built-in tilt is just enough to aim the TV the couple degrees left or right and down to get the viewing angle right for your seating. Went from a 65" TV to 86" and I miss being able to move the TV in any and all directions, but with an 86" TV you probably shouldn't be moving the TV in all those positions. Just tilting up and down will have to be enough. The old mount only went up to 65" capacity. Of course, when I got that I thought I'd never want a larger TV. HA! It took many years, but eventually 65" got smaller and smaller until I felt like I couldn't see anything anymore. Ridiculous, I know. I remember when I got a 19" TV for my bedroom and thought I was the richest person in the world! Lol. Now, while purchasing an 86" TV I was saying, "Are you sure that's going to be big enough?" Anyway, this mount was fairly simple to install. None of them go perfectly on the first try. Takes some patience, but it's not as difficult as some I've installed. this tv mount is a huge step up from my previous stationary mount. the tv mount I'd been using forever didn't move at all. and my couch is positioned in such a way that the tv was kind of oddly off to the side a little and wasn't an ideal viewing angle. and neither was the viewing angle from the kitchen table. then I found this tv mount which not only tilts down, but can be angled right or left a certain degree. holy cow, this has completely changed the way I watch tv. when I'm sitting on the couch I angle it towards the couch and it is the PERFECT angle. when I'm sitting at the table on the other side of the room I can angle it the other direction and again, PERFECT angle. and it's so easy to adjust it. the whole thing is also super sturdy. my dad put it up on the wall and used his own anchors and this thing is not going anywhere.     • Poor design, difficult to level
The wall bracket is 3 piece which you have to self assemble, but has insufficient alignment features which means the two sides don’t align, so near impossible to maintain a level tv with no other adjusting features to overcome this. Would not recommend
